Maybe we will see Romeo and Ishaq out there sacking QB's in the near future.

Tough to say with him.....he could not get out of the academic dog house and back on the field. Still has I believe 3 more credits to get for his degree.

And they probably should've redshirted Okwara. He was only 17 as a freshman. He's only 21 now, and could've been a 5th-year senior this year. As for Ishaq, academic problems derailed him at ND.

We have a lot of guys in the NFL - even some Pro Bowlers now. To bad it cant translate on the field at ND for more wins than the average of 8 or 9 per year. Mind boggling how college's w/ lesser talent can win 10 plus games on a fairly regular basis.

Our program has NO progression with the players and more times than not they are more productive as a sophomore or freshman than as a junior or senior.

Why is that?

Ask yourself that question. Why does that happen under Kelly?

Yea .. i think he was a poor fit in Diaco's 3-4 as the 'drop' OLB ... he simply didn't put on enough weight/strength to shed blocks and became a poor 3rd down specialist who seemed confused by the position.

I think he's a much better fit as a tall/athletic/lanky 4-3 DE whose only job is to rush the passer.

Thats why I've kept comparing Kelly to Kuharich. Just look at the guys Kuharich had back in the late 50s and early 60s He was basically coaching a NFL team at ND, but couldn't win.
