I hate purdue with a passion having to live so close to Lafayette and having to listen to then talk bad about our irish all the time. purdue has played better as of late and beat ranked ohio state in the big ten tournament but they also struggled quite a bit this year like losing to the maine bears. if our irish play good defense and are passing the ball around and looking for open players like they have been recently then this game should be a blowout. our irish have owned purdue for several years now because of better talent and better coaching. a shame purdue canceled the series a few years back. game is on espn at 9 pm

Next year , ND women are going to need a very good point guard .Lindsey Allen graduating . I have read somewhere that a Stanford point guard is transferring to ND . Can anybody confirm ?

Lili (last name escapes me right now) from Stanford is confirmed to come here for grad school and play next year. I met her and her dad after a game. Sports Talk on WSBT confirmed the information just prior to the game.

i'm guessing you don't live in Indiana. purdue fans have trash talked our irish for several years because they don't like nd and that is why I titled the thread the way I did. us irish fans and iu fans here in Indiana hate purdue and they hate us both

Gotta hope Turner can play.No chance without her presence in the middle. Our guards ,Mabrey , Young , Ogunbowale and even Allen are not great on the ball defenders . I have been watching this team any time they have been on TV . The whole season , with the exception of a few games , defense has been a disappointment . Also Westbeld is okay as power forward ,but I don't know what we get from her ,game to game .quicker forwards present a problem ,foul trouble.

Watching UConn routing Syracuse In 3rd quarter by 25 with 16 minutes left , 70-44. They make it look so easy , very fluid offense ,move the ball with a lot of motion . Now it is 87-51 with still 9 minutes left in 4th quarter

ND beat Syracuse at Syracuse 85- 80 . With ND's B. Turner and south Carolina's 6'5 Center A Wilson hurt and their other 6'4 power starting forward Coates out for the tournament , ND and SC will both have trouble making it to the final 4 ,but maybe , depending on seriousness of injuries ,limited action. .Still rooting for Irish to tough it out and get to final 4.

It's not their fault but UConn is destroying women's college basketball. It's turning into a yearly "best of the rest" competition. Most UConn games are not even close. I don't blame them. This has to be fixed or they will squeeze any remaining excitement out of this sport by their yearly routine predictable dominance.

I didn't see the game but I imagine their starting 5 was out of the game being up 30. Why risk injury? The tournament is over barring something amazing happening.
