I agree -- today Brey was subpar today. We weren't ready to break the press. And he left an arctic VJ in way too long -- Ryan should have been spotted in that corner all day long! Still, they were on fire.
I'm proud of our team. We were picked to finish 7th in the ACC and we overachieved. We only have one gamer and that is Bonzi. Love Vesturia but like VJ he will play in Europe -- when it counted today they didn't get it done.
Brey really needs to get one NBA caliber player.
I do think we'll be better next year with Bonzi, Ryan, Rex, Geben, Gibbs, Farrell... but...

I really thought we would find a way to win today before the game began but once WVU started out with a 10-0 lead it really felt that we were never in the game. Even when we got within three points, we couldn't hit any big shots. Beachem was huge last year but never got anything going this year in either tournament. Vasturia will go down as one of my all-time favorite players because he maximized his talent while at ND. If Bonzi comes back, we still have some veteran players around him and some new players to watch for next year.
A really disappointing end to a surprise season but hopefully we get a little more athletic next year and can get back here again. Gibbs needs to shoot all summer and become a scorer and some of our red-shirt players will need to grow up fast.

They weren't prepared for the press that's why they turned the ball over, genius. Brey didn't have them ready. It was 10-0 to start the game. Step 1: don't get trapped in the corner or just past half-court/corner.
This is coming from a Brey supporter. It wasn't his best effort today. Ryan hits shots. VJ hasn't been clicking for a while. Deciding who plays is a part of coaching too. Get a clue, Internet tough-guy.
I can handle a loss. ND isn't very talented and overachieved, but I agree, and just hate the fact Brey was out coached with the press. Huggins made ND look sloppy today.
ND didn't have a good shooting performance but credit the WVU defense. Every time ND closed to 4 points WVU made clutch shots to keep us just out of reach.
They led the nation in forcing turnovers. ND wasn't the only team WVU outcoached with the press this season
