QB, RB, RB, TE, OL, OL, DL, DL, LB, DB, DB...at some point it's going to be too much to overcome.

Hopefully we find a way to beat Stanford. We've few weeks to recover from injuries after that.

Yeah. Forgot about tranquil. And cage.

So yeah, half the starters. Feels familiar. This team is deep, but I fear we've reached a practical limit of still being able to compete at the highest level.

Has any other team had this many injuries the past two years? Is there a fundamental flaw in longo's methods?

I think it's called bad luck.
No such thing as luck. There's a reason this happens year after year to ND but no one can put a finger on it. Football is a game of physical contact and there will always be injuries but ND has had so many 'non-contact' injuries this year that ended player's season that it has to be studied.

each one of the teams in contention has had to deal with injuries. ND fans are of course familiar with injuries to the Irish.

Actually I forgot about Tranquil. I was thinking of Crawford, who was our starting nickle back at the beginning of the year. Now his injury hurts more without Russell.

Of course all teams are banged up. But show me another contender that has lost the list above...and what we lost last year.

Purse doesnt want to acknowledge that -- he wants as much ammo as possible against Kelly next Sunday if we lose -- that's why he is a despicable POS

example - yesterday when Procise went out with injury, ND fans were agasp atvanother injuryband at the same time Oklahoma lostva top defender and the starting QB in their game.
And, like most of our fans, I don't really follow the status of other teams that are not ND opponents. Before the season started USC was hit pretty hard with injuries.
