Players to watch for on the RedHawks ! A very experienced team ! Almost all starters upperclassman !! And a ton of players from football rich Florida !! They should be 4 and 0 if it weren't for Marshall running two kickoffs back for TDS and a fluke turnover against Cincinnati !! Miamis defense is ranked #27 in the country !! Way better than our defense ! And on offense Look out for the midget running back (Joe Morris size) who splits carries with a big running back (like OJ Anderson) !!! And tall receivers who go downfield !! None of those dinky passes !! Gus Ragland can't run worth crap so we need to put pressure on him ! If we don't he may throw for over 400 yards on us ! And a great senior cornerback ! Passing on the redhawks will not be easy !!

Heath Harding had himself quite a 2016 season. His 67 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 11 pass breakups were enough to earn him First Team All-MAC honors. Honors are nothing new to the Dayton, Ohio, native. He was named the Miami Newcomer of the year in 2013 and the Defensive Skill Player of the Year in 2014 !!

Big things are the expectation for 2017, too. The 5’10, 190 lb senior is on the Bednarik, Thorpe, and Nagurski watch lists !!!.

I love our chances too. I believe we are a top ten team. We just can't take Miami for granted. They just gave a great effort and blew out Central Michigan 31 to 14. I think they are just as good or better than Michigan State. A gunslinger as a QB--- pro prospects in their defensive backfield and about 5 or 6 tall receivers who all get receptions downfield and a running duo who split carries evenly. They are also full of Juniors and Seniors.
We will have to play tough and blitz their QB and make him suffer !

I forgot to mention another great defensive player for Miami

1 De'Andre Montgomery ---9 solo tackles 18asists 27 total tackles 2 tackles for loss 1 interception 2 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles ! The guy is a stud and will play on Sundays ! A 6 '2" 228 lb safety who hits like a MacTruck !! A Junior from Georgia !!
This guy will be playing on Sundays !!

I think Coach Kelly has found the formula that works at ND. Finally I think we're ready for some good days. We've still got growth ahead but the USC game could be a lot of fun.
