Ideal Playoffs Scenario?

I’ll start this off by saying none of this playoff talk means anything unless the Irish prepare for each opponent and finish the season 11-1. But this is why we’re fanatics, let us hope/dream/wish!

While the Irish focus on this week’s opponent, what are your ideal playoff scenarios? (I realize this is college football and there will be upsets that nobody can imagine still to come).

Personally, I’m confident ND would compete with anyone but I’d be most confident with the following...

My ideal (somewhat realistic) playoff scenario:

1. Georgia
2. Wisconsin
3. ND
4. Clemson/Oklahoma/TCU

This is a Scenario that is NOT likely, but I think it is “somewhat” possible.

1. Bama slips in regular season. Either a shocker against LSU or in the Ironbowl vs Auburn. Then Georgia wins a close SEC Title game.

2. Wisconsin wins out (likely) and pulls upset in Big 10 title game (unlikely).

3. Irish keep rolling!

4. Lots of scenarios, but if Clemson wins out and wins ACC they make it. If they lose i could see it between TCU & Oklahoma (I’d predict Oklahoma would win this matchup but I’d prefer TCU).

I believe the PAC12 will beat each other up and miss the playoff.

What would you all like to see??

I think it's more likely that Georgia gets tripped up during the season then Alabama. Then Bama beats GA in SECCG. Don't count out Florida giving Georgia all they can handle on Saturday. Maybe pulling the upset.

If there is four or five undefeated teams at the end, it'll be tough for ND to get in. We still need some help in addition to taking care of our own business.

The ideal is any playoff that has us in it and Alabama not in it, IMHO.

There are still 5-6 games for most teams. TCU still needs to play a very good Iowa St team, Texas and Oklahoma, Penn St needs to play Ohio State and a good Mich St. We know who the Irish play. There is a lot that can happen before the end of the season

Win the next 5 and then we talk. By then, Notre Dame will be done for the season with CCG still to play.
