Do it behind closed doors, make a very strong case to him, and at least try like hell to shock the College Football world with a move like this. He has a title at Ohio State, so go to him and sell whatever it is that you think will have a shot at pulling it off hard.

I said seems like no one wants him. I certainly haven't seen anyone defending him after the Stanford loss. I will revise. Seems like his supporters have dwindled on this board. You are right nothing we can do about it. If Kelly wins 9 games next year he will still be here. Swarbrick isn't going anywhere because he has the rest of our sports programs in a respectable state. Kelly has to go 6 and 6 or worse to force Swarbrick to make a change.

Honestly I was more upset about the Miami loss than the Stanford loss but looking back on the season I can say that my expectations were exceeded.

Very tough schedule and we are 9 and 3, I actually hope we win our bowl game to shut people up. I don't love Kelly but I know that he's probably the best and most experienced coach we can hire. So unless we are getting the flavor of the season coach which will change every year. He's the best option we have.

Understand this college football is a business when it comes to head coaches and if you're a smart coach you go where you have the best chance to win, consistently. It not about past glory or importance of a program. Especially with unrealistic fan bases, boosters, etc.

Absolutely but at a school like Bama you have an easier admission process, an easier academic schedule, and great resources. Plus you can sell Alabama. ND has great resources but that is where it ends and makes it difficult.

Actually that "schtick" as you call it is true. Give a realistic option that can come into ND. Or just be realistic and say I don't want Brian Kelly coaching ND and they can hire anyone. What what you fail to understand is this university has restrictions from who they recruit to who they hire. So it's a realistic question.

I don't get into name calling its just plain stupid. As I mentioned no one is saying don't bring in a new coach what I am telling you is we are 9 and god dam 3 and you're acting like we just had another 8 loss season. We just played the 5th hardest schedule in college football! You can't understand that. I don't love Kelly and I said going into this season after last he was on the hot seat, he put up 9 wins so far with really good wins throughout the season he's earned one more year IMO. If we don't have a better season next year he won't survive.
