I have absolutely zero confidence in Brian Kelly. Worst coach in college football.

An easy Stanford win was there for the taking and it was like Kelly was trying to sabotage the Irish team. And how could he be so stupid and say that this was a typical Stanford team and that it would go down to the wire at halftime when the Irish were up ten and should have been up thirty with the talent the Irish have.
*** I am really sorry I have made another thread about Brian Kelly but I have never felt this bad about the state of an Irish season. So much promise and such horrible coaching failure.
Shouldn't you be fired if you fail miserably at your job?
*** Hopefully Jack S. has not fallen asleep at the wheel and Kelly will not be coaching in 2017 for the good of the players and the Irish fans. He has had seven years--enough time to change things. One more year will just be one more year in purgatory.
*** And for those Irish fans that say "who could do a better job" I submit to you the Notre Dame down chainlink holders---I think either one would be a better coach than Kelly.

You're frustrated now, geez, wait to next year if this guy comes back? Its only going to be much worse. He's lost the team, the fans and slowly, the enjoyment of watching and cheering for ND football. If Swarbrick and the Administration do not watch out and take action, things will really spiral out of control and the once great brand of ND will be diluted to a shadow of what it once was. BK may not be the worst coach in CFB but he is not good for ND. I keep looking at J. Harbaugh with amazement for what he has done.

He took over a crappy UM team and immediately turned the program around. Stanford was nothing until he took them over.

A coach brings a mentality. ND has not had a badass mentality since Lou coached. BK keeps playing freshmen because his upper classmen don't have a killer mentality. It's not on them but on him. His QBs regress year after year because he neuters them with his play calling and sideline rants.

This may be painful for some fans to accept and that is ok. Sometimes the truth is hard to accept. BK is yet another false brass ring for the ND faithful.

TWalsh, I agree and also disagree with you - your right about the ND fans not having a say on who gets fired or hired, but it is the fans of any team who can greatly push an organization / school into making a change. IF the majority of the fan base become disenfrenchized w/ the head coach and the product on the field. And they discontinue buying tickets, supporting the team, watching on TV, and most importantly in ND's case "donating money to the school" etc - then the powers that be will have to make a change - the ND fan base can force the issue if enough of them come to the realization a change does indeed need to be made in the head coaching position.

Quite honestly that is my hope, Otherwise we are stuck w/ BK for who knows how many more underachieving seasons of ND Football ?

I personally am done watching this team or attending games at ND or as long as BK is coach. He is an embarrassment to ND Football.
