I have been a big BK fan from day 1 he has been here. But its clear to me now that he will never get it done here. And I'm not even talking about winning a national championship. I'm talking about fielding a team year in and year out that contends for playoff appearances. We are now 1-6 in our last 7 games. Elite coaches don't do that. Elite coaches don't lose to Duke at home. The sad part is, after what has happened to BK, who looked like the next rising star in college football 7 years back, I don't know if we get anyone better. Recruiting is also going steadily downhill. This is what you get on defense when you recruit a bunch of "project" dline players, 1 sack in 4 games. We're still getting some good players no doubt, certainly enough to beat Duke, but not the talent needed to contend with the big boys of CFB. And its getting harder to get those guys to come north to south bend when you're putting this product out there.
I guess after all that I realize this is a venting post to say I'm off the BK bandwagon, bash away for the rest of you that certainly will week in and week out. For me I'm worried it only gets bleaker from her on out, even if he's gone. As for me, I'm out on the rest of the year. there has to be something more productive to do than watch this crap.
