Notre Dame better get ready for the new world of college recruiting which will be having local companies and/or National Companies come to the table with millions to get recruits to Notre Dame. For example, it's highly unlikely a kid like 2023 #3 rated QB would sign with a team with out a NIL agreement secured. Unfortunately, Ohio State all ready has a leg up on Notre Dame when it comes to finding NIL money for top recruits.
Would it be against the rules for instance if ND Alums/Owner's of Sargento Cheese were to offer a Multi-Million dollar offer to a quarterback? I could see the ad campaign right now "The Big Cheese of College Football" featuring a Notre Dame QB.
Maybe Sargento Cheese could pay all of the Notre Dame offensive line $50,000 a year and run an ad campaign involving blocks of cheese? Ha Ha
It's scarry to see where this will end up but the NIL is just another vehicle for rich boosters to buy recruits.
