You throw this crap up all the time and get beat up for it. Are you a glutton for punishment? Do you enjoy being the resident punching bag of the board, or are you simply stupid?

Come on now, don't be like that. You have no idea how fate would have gone, if the season had transpired differently, none. And there is plenty of reason to believe, at least anecdotally, that the loss to NIU galvanized the coach and the team, and served as an inspiration. To say nothing of the fact that the loss was part of ND's destiny for this season, to a MAC team like it or not, and it did put their backs against the wall, and the team did rally, and not let it ruin their season, a season that now has us in the title game, and as such is something to be cherished, or at least respected, so why would you want to piss on it? Probably for the same reason you want to piss on BK so badly. Whatever that reason is exactly. It's the same one.
