How are PAC 12 officials officiating this game ?

Mike Tirico did say that the play was reviewed, but not buzzed down. But that's really not the issue. The issue is that it was a PAC-12 crew with a PAC-12 review official. That is simply ridiculous, and is a terrible optic, and should not happen. The other issue, in my mind, is Kevin Austin needs to step up and win 50/50 balls. He is so talented, but hasn't learned to assert himself. He needs more "want" in his play. Kid can definitely play, has a football future, if he can learn to step up and win those opportunities

And they were really good saturday. Yes they looked at it. They didnt deem to look for minutes and minutes to waste time

Disagree, I don't think they were good, I thought they made some really poor calls, this being one of them. That said, I think Kevin Austin could have made the call moot if he had asserted himself. Kids is a tremendous talent, he needs to show that on the field

The substantive issue is the inherent conflict of interest in having the visiting team bringing their officiating crew with them.

compounding that conflict is that the visiting team is bringing both the field and replay officials with them.

That’s like having the judge and prosecutor related to the plaintiff.

Only a moron would abide by and defend that arrangement !

The moron is calling out people for being a moron. Yikes

At least I have the facts and geometric like logic on my side.

You on the other hand only have your seriously flawed opinion.

I’ll make this easy for you. “YES“ or “NO”

Was that play officially reviewed ?

So Pat gets a lot of things wrong but he happens to be right - sort of - in this instance. By rule, there actually was NO simultaneous possession. Austin caught the ball outright and should have been awarded possession. McCaulay clarified the rule early yesterday:

Thanks

When you get a chance, list the “lot of things that I got wrong”

Thanks again

The word you wanted was "moot". but phones do that to us all the time. Austin is getting his first real FT season this year, so he absolutely needs another year in college, and next year he will be a beast and help his draft stock rise.
