I saw another thread about "Best Frozen Pizza" and noticed that many Rockne's Roundtable members prefer Home Run Inn Pizza. What most of you probably don't know is that the company has very strong ties to the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Daniel Costello, PhD, is the Chairman Emeritus of the Electrical Engineering department at ND. He earned his MS and PhD from ND and four of his sons graduated from Notre Dame. Dr. Costello's wife's family started Home Run Inn in 1923 on the South side of Chicago and have been going strong ever since.
Kevin Costello was one of my roommates at ND in the 1980s and we've been close friends since. Great pizza and even better people who love Notre Dame!
