Spencer Stastney salvaged No. 13 Notre Dame's blown lead with an overtime winner at No. 16 Ohio State on Friday night.

Stastney, a senior defenseman, scored 32 seconds into the three-on-three period to give the Irish two points in the Big Ten standings with a 3-2 victory.

Notre Dame took a 2-1 lead 13:36 into the third period when Landon Slaggert rebounded fellow sophomore forward Ryder Rolston's shot and scored. But the Irish squandered the advantage when a hooking penalty on junior forward Max Ellis triggered a delayed penalty and allowed Ohio State forward Jake Wise to come off the bench to score the game-tying goal with 2:50 remaining in regulation.

Ohio State scored first with a goal from forward Kamil Sadlocha in the first period. Notre Dame responded with a goal from senior forward Graham Slaggert, assisted by brother Landon Slaggert and graduate defenseman Chase Blackmun, just 3:20 into the second period.

Both teams successfully killed a pair of power plays. Jakub Dobeš registered 34 saves for the Buckeyes. Junior Ryan Bischel saved 27 shots in the Notre Dame victory.

The two teams will meet again Saturday in Value City Arena at 8 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
