I mentioned Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley three-star '17 quarterback Hendon Hooker as a potential target for Notre Dame next cycle after watching him at the Army Underclassmen Combine, and I just wanted to pass along that he has had some recent talks with Irish offensive coordinator Mike Sanford.
Cedar Hill (Texas) High three-star quarterback Avery Davis remains the priority for the Irish in the next class, but it looks Sanford & Co. are continuing to evaluate other arms in the class. The 6-5, 200-pound Hooker is starting to see his stock pick up with recent offers from Pittsburgh and Wake Forest. I wouldn't be surprised if the Irish try to get him to throw this summer if Davis isn't locked up by then.
