was at work at an otical lab that i work for doing overtime today and a coworker of mine and fellow irish fan was telling me that he read somewhere that both sides are trying to get the rivalry back on. has anyone else heard or read anything on this. I really hope it happens because I could see both teams being regular top ten teams in the next couple of years. the late eighties and early nineties games were the best because both were top ten with title contender teams

one of the obstacles is TV coverage, mostly at UM's end as far as who has rights. I read the explanation but it wasn't terribly understandable

F the skunkbears. Mr khaki pants will be gone in a year or two and the little ten just hurts ND's strength of schedule. Schedule Texas and Florida teams. Thats where the recruits are found.

Both the Michigan and the ND, AD's are trying to put this together. The B1G is going to a pretty tough scheduling model. And Michigan plays in the tougher of the 2 divisions already.

They will be going to 9 conference games / season. No more FCS opponents, and at least 1 OOC, P5 opponent (or ND) each year. So I could see them being more like MSU where they are on the schedule for a home and home every other couple of years, but I doubt ND / Michigan ever gets back to playing every year as most are used to recently. It doesn't help enough on recruiting anymore. And there is nothing more important than that.

Zero for Bo & 31 - 0 : are they still giving away free cokes when you buy a ticket in AA?

One home and home every ten years or so would be great IMHO. Just enough to remind everyone how enjoyable the rivalry was, without a huge dose of them on the schedule.

I think you are spot on. AD Hackett indicated in an interview last week that Harbaugh and Kelly have had talks to get game on the schedule, though I doubt it is with frequency as in years past.

you're such an easy target. 24-17-1, 2 of last 3, 4 of last 6. I could go on but you bore me. The great Brian Kelly is 2-3 vs Michigan at a time when we were down. You have no shot of catching us in your lifetime. NO SHOT!! We've been mediocre since 2008 and we STILL have three (3) January 1st or better bowl WINS including a BCS Sugar Bowl (from 2008-2016). Do you have any idea whatsoever when ND's last January 1st or better bowl WIN was? (P.S. getting annihilated in the NC game versus Bama and a blowout loss to OSU in the Fiesta doesn't qualify. lol) Listen to what Coach Holtz said last week: "I'm just glad I'm not at Notre Dame while [Harbaugh}] is at Michigan." hahahaha. Deep down you feel the same way. Sleep well. #Ignore

Hurray. Michigan did a great job in the series during the Harrison, Cleveland and McKinley administrations. Over the last century, the series has been even. And ND, not Michigan, won two of the last three.
The larger question is: why do you keep posting this same crap here all the time? Got some issues with insecurity?

ND / Michigan regardless of how you feel, it became one of the great rivalry games in college football. How could you not want the two most historic teams to play each other? I for one want Michigan on the schedule.

31 - 0 & zero for Bo - everybody knows ND - only people with lead in the water know Michigan. Enjoy!

People being poisoned with lead is nothing to joke about, regardless of who they are. I don't like the Wolverines either, but I don't wish lead poisoning on anyone. Let's put this in perspective---they're a college football team.

ND vs UM in Sept was big on big in the 80s and 90s and always an early season treat .. Landscape have changed time to move on - fit them in for a home and home every 20 years - neither team is afraid of the other but just like ND Miami be happy for what it was
