Harbaugh throws his punter under the Bus.

You do understand the words "Yes you are right" ???

Now your are just being naïve. There are two types of coaches in college football, 2-faced guys who can lie to a kids face and those that get fired. Even the morons on this board write the most awful sh*t about 19 year old kids playing football. You just hate Harbaugh, i'm sure he'll get over it. There's no story, nothing to see here folks, move along now
Exactly

First, I heard Harbaugh and he didn't say it in a manner some are claiming, I bet a number haven't even seen the video. He was calm and simply answered the questions and what went wrong on the play. Is that any different then when he was talking about his QB needing to clean things up and go through his progressions properly?

Harbaugh is an eccentric fella but he is a great coach. The clowns saying what has he won haven't watched a damn thing. He took a bad Stanford team and turned them into a winner and BCS bowl winner. He took a poor to average SF team to the SB and 3 straight NFC championship games. Average coaches or losers don't do that. If Harbaugh was ND'S next coach you all would be slobbering over the hire, just like if Urban took the ND job. You don't have to like him but he is a legit coach.

Last, stop calling them kids. They are young men. I had nephews serving in Iraq, and Afghanistan at 18 and 19. By the time I was 20 I was already in the state police academy, 21 I was a Trooper. I think they can handle it, you want to play under the bright lights, you have to be ready for the good, bad, and ugly.

Maybe you are the clown for thinking Harbaugh is a great coach. Great is a word thrown around too easy these days. He has not won anything yet so he is not great. Great is for Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Pete Carroll, Vince Lombardi, and Bill Billichick , Coaches who actually won Championships.
To quote Ricky Bobby "If your not first your last".

He's great based on the results he's getting. He turns bad/mediocre into very good/great within a short time. I really don't care if someone wins a championship when judging how good they are.

I guess it is better for him to try to blame a player instead of his own stupidity in calling for a punt in the first place. Seems to me the call would be max protection with one wr. The qb is in shotgun and the wr runs a 40 yard out. the qb runs around for 3-4 seconds, gets outside the tackle box then he heaves the ball towards the wr. he throws it as high and far as he can with the intention of the ball landing in about row 30. By the time the ball comes down the clock runs out and game over. If there are still a couple of seconds left they have to kick a 55 yard FG to win. if he gets sacked they have to kick a 50 yard fg to win. That seems to be the call to me. So was it really the punters fault?

Exactly.

He is a very good coach I agree. You don't have to win championships to be very good--I agree.
But greatness is for those that win championships is all I am saying. Especially if you have won multiple championships.

Another former Stanford coach that did well coaching at Stanford and then coached at San Francisco was Joe Walsh. Now Joe Walsh was great---not because he did well at Stanford but because he won Super bowls at San Francisco something Harbaugh did not do..

I liked Joe Walsh when he was with the Eagles... but I also like the stuff he did on his own.

Bill Walsh Bodi - Harbaugh is an odd duck. He will wear out his welcome in Mich. It may take 4 or 5 years - but, give it some time. His teams will compete hard. He will get them playing smash mouth football. But, he is not perfect. He sometimes will also make bonehead in game decisions. Not very often, but he does or has in the past. Watched almost all of his Stanford and 49ers games. In the Super Bowal - had it 1st and 5 from at the goal line. Threw 3 or 4 fades in row to Crabtree - had 1 of the best RB in Gore and did not get him the ball. The playcalling down there was horrendous. I know the 49ers had a O cordinator - but as a head coach w/ final say and being a former QB - does he not over ride his O cordinator ? And come w/ better play calls to win a Super Bowl. Harbaugh is not perfect and the love affair some have w/ him on this board is nauseating. A lot of 49er fans felt like that cost them the SB.

For someone so cruelly "thrown under the bus", Blake O'Neill seems to be doing remarkably well:
