Happy, but concerned.

Do you think Brian Kelly is a good play caller?

  • He is a fantastic play caller.

  • He is a good play caller.

  • He is average as a play caller.

  • He is a poor play caller.

  • He is the worst I've ever seen.

  • Why doesn't he allow an assistant to call the plays?

Flame on sapsuckers! I am thrilled to be 3-0, but I wish we had a more consistent offense, particularly when it comes to the red zone. If it wasn't for Prosise's extreme talent, we'd be in a world of hurt. (Add Fuller to that list too.)

Does anyone feel confident with a 3rd and 2 or 3?

Like I said, I'm thrilled with a 3-0 start, and the defense has me very happy with this team that had had so much adversity so far this year. I'd just like to be able to relax when we get into the opponent's red zone. It always feels like we have to work so hard to score.

Take the poll, What do you think?

Playcalling is only a small part of winning. Execution is what really matters. You never know what the opponent is going to run so it really doesn't make much sense to be critical of playcalling. Did playcalling hold GT to 7 point until the last two minutes of the game? No, it was solid defense and bad offense.

And yeah, its more dificult to score in the redzone. There's less space down there.

I didn't find an option I liked in your poll

I can't figure out Kelly at times. There have been some games he couldn't have called a better game. Bill Walsh couldn't have called a better game. Example.....last year against Florida State he was magical with the plays he called at the time, which is key.

The timing is the problem and not the actual play.
Example I do not like the empty sets on a 3rd and 5. Or empty set on a 4th and 4.

Those are too far for the qb, to run , on a draw out of an empty set. Other than that he likes to pass way too much once inside the 10 yard line and that is his rep now. Every team knows he is going to throw inside the ten. Once in a blue moon he runs but play the odds, he is going to pass. Can't help himself
