Media been making a big deal about the heat. As of today the forecast for 8/31 in College Station is scattered showers. High of 91. Low of 72.
Now it has a high of 95 and low of 76 with no rain gametime

I'm sure it will change multiple times in the next week too

High number of our players, come from the SE, TX......I'm pretty sure they will be OK, and its the same for both sides.

The real factors will be crowd noise, they do have a 12th man there for certain. They also had a coach who took ND to the brink of destruction last year with a well under manned squad. He will not have that disadvantage this year. Both clubs have the same issues around new coaching, new schemes, new packages...

A new HC always has a bit of a disadvantage no matter how good you are, look at Lou, Norvell, MF, etc.....

So slight advantage to AM for home, slight advantage to ND for coaching continuity, players even, maybe a nod to ND with the QB but we need to see that.......As always in these big games, its TO's. Keep it clean, I like our chances. Get a + side in take aways love our chances.

Thank You, Golson. Please update daily. Maybe even hourly. Humidity will be a huge huge worry for all those playing.

You know it’s late August when we have a 50 post thread about the temperature! Lol

I think we’re all just dehydrated from a lack of important topics. Thankfully we’re only 10 days out from plentiful topics for 5 months.

10 days? 3 days!

Sure it's a thing. So is sitting for long stretches, resting for long stretches, and hydrating as much as you need.
"sitting for long stretches"...tell that to a defense that has to go back on the field quickly many times a game because the offense can't move the ball.
High temps, humidity, pads, helmet, hydration, weight, all factor in to this. Every player is different with their physical make-up, some handle it better than others. It is a BIG deal.

I’m in Tuscany on a wine tour, that’s my bad. 😂

I think you all should find this funny. I’ve been in contact with an Irish Pub in Rome because I’ve asked them to stay open for the 1:30am start Irish kickoff. They said as long as we spend money. Shouldn’t be a problem folks! We will drink, in victory or defeat.

Way way overplayed.

Big enough deal that Freeman was thanking God and divine intervention for bringing the heatwave to South Bend this week. He made a point of saying it is extremely important for the players to practice in, and experience this level of heat before this game. The near two week emphasis on hydrating in and out of practice regardless of temp is interesting as well.

Meanwhile, TAM practices daily in a recently built, state of the art, air conditioned indoor practice facility.
