Beachem is over rated. I said we would struggle against more athletic teams. Inserting Ryan instead of Geben or Torres would give us more firepower. 3 guys cant beat 5 athletic guys. Our players have heart but its Breys failure to utilize all of his players will always have us fall short of the championship. The line up should be Farell, Vasturia, Colson, Ryan, Beachem with the rest of the guys coming off the bench. Gibbs can get more minutes. Phlueger should be first man off the bench.
Beachem is a streak shooter period. The rest of his game is inconsistency and turnovers in the lane. When he is on he looks like an all american. But when he is off its 3 v 5.
Are you at practice everyday?? I doubt it. Do you know the players better than the staff? Again I doubt it.
Brey is an outstanding coach, and I trust he knows what he's doing. If Ryan was the best option, he'd be playing.
I thought that was clearly goaltending, and the TV guys didn't even mention the possibility.
FSU is not famous for getting favorable calls on the hardwood in this league, that privilege goes to the two schools eight miles apart in Chapel Hill and Durham, respectively.
It sure felt like the officiating was skewed against us in our game up in CH last week (our only league loss).
But the reality is this is a home cookin' league when it comes to the refs. You will get the benefit of the doubt in nine games each year, and will have to swim upstream in the other nine. So it evens out.

Not ridiculous. Brey historically does not go deep on his bench and that's one reason he struggles in recruiting. Think about it this way. Mooney was a coveted recruit. Our weakness is clearly Geben and Torres are not elite players for big men. So what does the coach do? He decides to keep Mooney on the bench and he gains little experience. FSU played like 13 guys last night. Were they all 5 stars? Same thing with Ryan. As a shooter he is a marksmen. He plays 5 minutes 1st half no matter what he does. He looks unhappy on the bench. I don't blame him. So if you are a HS senior considering playing for Brey, the odds of you playing as a freshman are very low whereas Kentucky you are a starter and expected to contribute. FSU played all their guys and won.
