This is Johnson's best Georgia Tech team. The Yellowjackets are now favored by -2, and the line is still moving.
I am very excited about this game. I think ND was looking ahead to the GT game against UVA and got a wake up call. As someone (hiveredtech) has posted several times on our rivals board, ND has 50 non-injured rivals 4 and 5 star recruits...GT has 3. Bottom line is we are "out talented" in almost every game we play, including several teams we beat the shit out of every year like Virginia, North Carolina, etc and have owned teams with similar talent like Duke, NCST, Pitt, Syracuse, Maryland. Under CPJ We are .500 against FSU, have a 5-3 record against Clemson, and a 2-5 record against Miami, VPI and Georgia.
I fully expect a coin flip outcome in this game and would say the home field is nuetralized by the ND injuries. Whoever wins the TO battle will win.
The difference between our winning years vs not is QB. When we have a good qb, we've had 9,11 and 11 win teams. In the years with a bad qb, we're 6-7, 8-5, 7-7 and 7-6. Y'all are catching us with our best QB in his RS Jr season. If he stays healthy I like our chances. He is more like a point guard because teams are gearing up to stop the B-back and QB so far this year so his stats won't knock your socks off, but if he doesn't make stupid decisions on the edge and our young A-backs catch the pitches I think it will be the last team with the ball wins kind of game. Expecting 9 possessions for each team in this one with very few punts from either team
ND needs 4 stops with -0- GT points to be in the game. The same is probably true for GT.
And as is the usual case losing the T/O stat will probably tell you the loser of the game.
Moron- why must you make the rest of us read your toxic dribble. We went to s national championship game in 2012 (yes we had our asses handed to us but we were there). That is huge. If you can't see the improvement In the culture and attitude since kelly has come on board you are likely blinded by hatred for a man you only see on TV for a few minutes 12-13 sats a year. I don't particulary care for the guy personally but you can't take away that he is a good coach and if he leaves who knows where we end up. Go away blow hard and take invincible green with you while you are at it.How could some ND fans be so ignorant? Georgia Tech won the Orange Bowl last season against an SEC team that was ranked #1in the nation during the regular season. I'm sure ND fans would be ecstatic if that happened to this program.
Boasting about coach of the year awards is beyond ridiculous when it's a completely subjective award. What I do see is constant 8-4 records from the most idiotic coach on earth.
They lost their back up QB, not their starter.Hopefully the loss of Tech's starting QB will help in some way. Usually an inexperienced QB in this offense is good for at least one to two turnovers. (HOPEFULLY)
Go Irish!!!!!
Yes, thank you 1939. It is a pleasant change of pace to have opposing fans come to this site and be informative without all the childish nonsense. There are those from a couple of fan bases (won't name them just to keep this thread from breaking down, but they know who they are) who could learn something about true sportsmanship and the true spirit of the game by reading your post.1939, that was really a good write up on your team. Thanks for sharing.
