I spend 99% of ND games at home watching with my best friends and their wives/girlfriends. We all get together for some food and fun, depending what time the game is on, here on the east coast.

I recently purchased a smoker and have been loving the pulled pork that I make. That will be a Saturday staple, for sure. I also am a big grill pizza fan(BBQ chicken, bacon, onion, hot sauce, ranch). Buffalo chicken spring rolls are another favorite snack at my house.

Regarding drinks.....Cider and spiced rum, Whiskey and Ginger Ale, and a whole smattering of beers are frequently had. New England has some pretty nice micro brews.....pumpkin beers, Octoberfests, etc....

I made a ND corn hole set(my pride and joy) that gets a lot of use. I also made a Boston Bruins themed shuffleboard table for the basement that is ideal to kill time during half time and before/after game. If we have a big enough crowd, we also get a big game of Kubb going! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kubb

What are some of your favorite game day traditions/snacks/games?

South bend has a restaurant called the Skillet. They have a gameday special of fried chicken and polish sausage. I have not had it yet but, am planning on trying it out this season.

My wife, who grew up in the South(Georgia), with Polish roots, will likely be in LOVE with this idea. We'll be out to South Bend for our first time for the USC game. We'll have to try it!

DO NOT GO TO THE SKILLET!!

I have had it twice after partying all night and spending the night in my RV. It is close to where we stay so we tried it twice. Horrible food. Wanted it to be good so tried it twice. Not good.

NOOOOOO!!!

Food is bad. Place is worse. Much better elsewhere in the Bend.

Thanks for info. On saturdays Honkers does a real good polish buffet. You might try that. Honkers is in Mishawaka off main st. Day rd. I believe. It's behind the Red Lobster if that helps.
