Never thought a win vs FSU would be meaningless but a non dominant win could hurt us. I hate that type of game vs a big program. ND needs to dominate and continue growing as a team, especially in the pass offense and oline. While also getting our lbs and young corners more experience.

Also, a lot of important recruits on campus that would be very beneficial to land.

Again, big day for the program!

Go ND

Agree. Being a night game, I doubt we don’t show up. If this was a noon game I would have my NIU tin foil hat on.

ND started slow but did fine. The march to the playoffs continues. Evolution.

I’m satisfied. And hopeful. Even excited again.

Playing Florida St. and Navy back to back can cause excitement.

Would say the team passes with flying colors

Did exactly what was needed! Big rout .

Defense gave up 74 yards on first drive. Then 125 years the remainder of the game.

Offense was consistent after the 3rd drive

ST got pieces of 3 punts

Lots of playing time to go around

Well thank God they turned it on. I was nervous there for about a quarter and a half
They were in control the entire game. Riley sputtered the 2nd and 3rd drives then settled in (though he had a few more poor throws to open receivers. His running killed them)

They are what their record says they are. 8-1 and top 8. Winning like they should!

Meanwhile UCLA still blows, Wash and USC have 10 losses between them, and LSU has at least 3 losses for third consecutive year.

No dominant team in the SEC. Miss St, Okie and UF with 18 losses among them. TAM in first place.

Mich missing Stallions. Can’t wait to see UGA-Tenn.

Irish keep winning they are playing at home 12/20. Did I mention BK has 10 losses in his first 35 games?

You can only play and win the games before you. On that, others correctly point out that ND planned a strong schedule. No fault on ND that many opponents like FSU and USC are down this year.

The loss to NIU is what I think causes skepticism. Fair point. But ND winning out like this is playoff worthy.

Good enough for me. Even with rough offensive edges to smooth out.
