this team simply is not worthy of being in the playoffs. I have been an ND fan since i've been 5 and will pull for them through thick and thin no matter what not missing a game but for us to think they are a playoff contender after tonight is just not realistic. A healthy ND team this year might have had a shot.

what makes you mad is that this same team just put up 41 pts against a usc team loaded with 4 and 5 star kids put can't do crap against a way lesser talented team
I agree. But why those 2 turnovers in the red zone? ND has to "learn" how to put it in once we get in that area.
Temple's defense is better than SC's. Their front 7 is nails.
If we can win out we deserve playoff consideration. I thought we played poorly tonight and still racked up almost 500 yards in total offense. The turnovers in the red zone and the D continuing to give up big plays kept it close. Just win out and let the chips fall where they may.
It has been this way since Holtz was let go. This was a good Temple team but poor play by Kizer in the red zone almost gave the game away. Even that last TD to Fuller should have been intercepted if the safety played it properly. Some of the penalties in this game were crap as well.
And he's a SENIOR....terrible terrible play in a key series.......gave them pts!
We're not well coached, that's for sure. ND is in the hunt, so don't sell yourself short. Enjoy the victory, it was well fought and hard earned.

Temple's defense is fundamentally strong. They tackle very well. That tends to close the talent gap more than anything else.

Irish fans need to cross their fingers that Clemson, Temple, and Stanford all end up conference champs. That may go a long way for their play-off hopes. Near miss on the road against Clemson. yep. they think it should always be easy. it's easy to tell the posters who never played or coached. their logic is so flawed it's laughable. some think all games are decided by recruiting rankings. they never credit the opponent. nd never gets beat they only lose. no understanding of the nuances of the game at all.
ND fans have overlooked UF and NC and Memphis and Iowa.
UF is a threat in the SEC title game. They have 2 things that teams need: great D and a great OL.
Their QB is a real leader. LSU, Bama and UF in truth are each among the top 6 teams in the country as things are today.
Only 1 ACC team gets in, but NC is undefeated.
My point is ND needs to win out just to get a top bowl slot! And IF ND is in a major bowl I expect that
the opponent will be from this list: Bama, LSU, UF, Ole Miss, Baylor, TCU, Ok.
