Fuller announced he will return

One down and one to " stay" Smith is next. A little convo with Manti is coming. Fuller IMO is the MVP of the team. His ability to stretch the defense and make big plays has made the Kizer transition very smooth. His return means ND has the best offense in College football next year. Still a lot of work to do this year.

Agreed... If he stays it will be huge but if somehow Jaylon stays it will be amazing to have probably the two best players on either side of the ball back. If we can land 1-2 big recruits down the line that can make an impact immediately next season, especially on the d-line and secondary, and we get both of these guys back... I think we have a great shot. Kizer will have a full year of experience and Malik is there to step in if he comes back strong. That also goes for the other players we lost this year like Folston, Crawford, Smythe, and whoever else I am forgetting.

somewhere ST.Brown is crying
ST. Brown will replace Chris Brown and compete with Robinson for that #2 receiver position. I would love to see Adams move into the slot at times next year. He runs the jet sweep so well. Procise and Folston are going to get a lot of carries. Adams needs to get touches. The team has the most offensive talent since the LOu Holtz years.

Great news! It's a 40-year decision and you just don't know what might happen on the football field when things can come to an end and you have to face real life. Plus, I like it for selfish reasons. ;)

Best recruit of 2016! Wow -- is there a link to read about it... (Of course if the Irish run the tables all bets are off...)

Right there on the front page, doh -- I always go right to youse guys -- you usually have the goods.

I actually think Adams is our best back because of his initial burst of speed and he goes North and South which is important in this offense. Also I expect if Folston returns strong then CJ maybe moved back to WR for plays because he needs touches and I would love to see him rotated between RB and WR, would confuse defenses as well. Unfortunately Robinson hasn't panned out as I thought, a lot of dropped passes, but he has plenty of time to improve. Lastly we need to get Sanders out there for those Rocket type of plays. He is a play maker and would be fun to see getting some screens, reverses, and send him deep with that speed to free up the other players.

Fuller coming back equates to a not a 5 star - but how about a 10 star - he is equal to two 5 stars = BK being able to keep studs in the program is amazing. BK ability to reload ND w/ great talent and keep them for 4 years has been amazing. We are in game 10 and we r ranked 4th in the country ! How great is that. ND is back !!!

IB: thanks for the info. Great news for Irish fans and bad news for DBs across the country.

Heck yeah! Get Jaylon back and then look at the schedule for next year and tell me we dont compete for a natty again next year. Plenty of quality, but I think the Irish can handle it:
@Texas
Nevada
Mich St
Duke
@Syracuse
@NC St
Stanford
<Open>
Miami
Navy
Army (San Antonio)
Va Tech
@USC

I feel very good about the offense next year with Fuller , Robinson,Hunter ,Jones and others at the receiver spots .Even with the loss of Stanley and Martin on the line , our offense should be very good again.

Am concerned about the defense ,Smith ,Day are huge losses .Hope Russell and Rochell stay. Don't know where Russell and Rochell would stand in the 2016 draft . Also Redfield needs to stay

Will Fuller returning is BIG, really BIG!!!
Not only is he the Irish MVP he should be in serious conversation for the Heisman. His value to the team is immense!

ND might be and deserve to be pre season # 1 next year. And with that schedule should be undefeated next year. A couple of 6 star prospects in Prosise and Fuller coming back. Potentially the best defensive line and offensive line in college football next year. Kizer best QB in the country returning. National championship is on the way.

Kizer, Folsten, Procise, Adams, Fuller,Robinson, Hunter, Jones, St. Brown, Sanders? Great Weapons and depth. Not to mention players like Smythe, Williams, Brent, and Holmes.

Whats the Oline going to be next year?

Bars-Nelson-Hoge-Elmer-McGlichney?

Great news for sure, and love his attitude and reasoning and commitment. The fan enthusiasm is warranted, but we have a lot of football in front of us this year, before talking about next year's preseason ranking.

Fuller is what makes this offense hum. This is HUGE. Offense will be ridiculous next year.

Wow - guess all the injured players the past two years hasn't impacted him - I hope he makes the correct choice and it works out for him. Hard to believe he doesn't get any Heisman hype - Go Irish.

Agreed - One day at a time Tex
