ESPN - BKelly "exploring options" to leave ND...

BSPN, making up stories again. No way would BK leave money on the table. BK will ensure he gets every dime before he walks out that door, whether it is by choice or a push.

Yeah, because giving up millions to make millions at Baylor is such a stretch. Less headache and that conference doesn't play defense.

Kelly is not done with being a HC but he clearly wants a place with less pressure ad Baylor certainly fits that.

He might be willing to lose a million or so NOW if he thinks he can pick it up in the future.

Bluntly speaking he is already set for life after OUR contract.

Baylor isn't a lot less pressure right now. They could be facing some serious sanctions fairly soon, and if not soon then likely within a couple of years. An up and coming coach who wants his shot at a big program and doesn't mind struggling with recruiting over the next few years is a more likely candidate for Baylor.

If this story is true I feel Kelly should be let go regardless of the results on the field. Clearly it means he is not 100% committed to ND. Given how bad this team is and how poorly coached it is how is anything going to improve if this clown isn't even 100% committed to the job.

Wrong. BK has plenty of bread...and he could make nearly as much...virtually get an identical salary and have a fresh start because his stay here has gotten extremely stale.

he hasn't been committed 100% to Notre Dame for at least four years. The Philly Eagles fiasco proved that.

BK is starting to look like Miles in his final days at LSU, when your never a 100% sure a coach is coming it going, he's going. Let's not repeat that mistake and let it linger into 2017. BK would look good in Oregon Green and Yellow, Juco's left and right. BK and ND just don't fit, ye'll probably be successful elsewhere.

Not to go too obscure on you, but he reminds me more of "Junior" in Oliver Stone's academy award winning "Platoon," right before he gets whacked running from his obligations.

Whatever happens it should happen fast. Honestly Jack should already have a few candidates in mind and have approached them through 3rd parties.

That said my expectations are that in typical ND fashion they'll drag this out and kill any chance of keeping most of this class together.

Great film and yes I get the reference

Since Lou Holtz was run out on a rail....one thing that stands out about the sentiment of the coaching search each and every time since...."Notre Dame has got to get it right this time"...Yep, heard that every time.....

He gone. No way he should be allowed back.

I would think this would trigger an automatic dismissal by either the AD, or if he doesn't have the guts to do it, Fr. Jenkins. I can't imagine what this is doing to recruiting. It's bad enough the Irish were 4-8. Then Kelly was not going to stick around to recruit in Cali. Now this. This program has become a dumpster fire.

any more black eyes in the program and Kelly will be a pariah......cutting losses is getting more attractive as time goes on.....Next on the chopping block: committed recruits.

Hey I want Kelly out, but this is pure speculation from ESPN at this point. Typical of the modern days "news" business, guy says something that may have zero basis in truth, it goes viral, and now all the reaction. Pure BS. I hope ND replaces him, but I'm not listening for one second to ESPN BS

ESPN has added little to the toxic situation.....we are getting into overkill territory now. So much of the Kelly negatives have nothing to do with on the field results. That is what is so telling right now. Those things should not be happening at Notre Dame...but they have. Jack will need to personally drag that baggage through the tunnel next season.
