Drue Tranquill

[Get Nasty]

This isn't a knock on Drue it's meant to be a knock on ND coaching staff. It's clear Drue can not run effectively after 2 major knee surgeries. The fact the coaches put him back there against a spread high tempo team shows how clueless they are. We all were extremely concerned about our safety play and it showed it self. They couldn't cover or tackle. You add coleman's poor play and you have 3 out of 5 starting secondary players having awful games.

Moving forward it needs to be Luke, Crawford, Studstill, Elliot....... then bring love in for nickle. The fact we had to be down 31-14 to make that happen is an absolute joke. The pass defense was better late in the game.

Unfortunately college football coaches don't have the benefit of pre season games . Texas at Texas is a tough place to open a season with a lot of kids who never played meaningful minutes in a college game . Also losing Redfield was a killer .

Im not blaming anybody for anything . Last nite was a tough way to open a season with a lot of young kids at skill positions - redfield would have been a welcomed sight last nite

Kelly watches the d in practice, it had to be clear that drue can't run, so yes I blame big the most, but jelly as well. We had two weeks to prepare without max, much more than you typically get for an injury.

Tranquil could be moved to linebacker where he would be a fast linebacker instead of a slow safety
