BVG is not mentioned the whole day. Autry Denson proves to be an excellent recruiter (he gets this year's MVP of recruiting -- give that guy a raise!) We need a young, inspiring and smart D-coordinator to bring in the talent.

How many times are you going to complain about this? For weeks if not longer Wiltfong and Loy have had predictions that Davis and McCullough were not going to be in at UT. Kelly and Robertson are where they are saying ND has a chance. I am getting confused as to why you say its obvious that these ND writers were just pumping up expectations to sell traffic to their sights but then are so mad when the guys they said ND had a chance with to pump these expectations go elsewhere. Thanks I appreciate the kind words. I can't believe to some of these guys there is just one way to be a ND fan. It seems that one cannot be critical of anything regardless of the results/outcome. Even pointing out a mere fact that we might miss out on some big names today gets under their skin.

I told you about where I earned my undergrad degree (ND) because you stated that I had no understanding of ND's tradition. So I felt compelled to disabuse you of your misunderstanding. Yes, I graduated from ND, so I think that I have a better understanding of ND's tradition than you do. And no, my degree is not in history (nor are my grad degrees, since you bring them up).

Now let me spell this out for you since you obviously have trouble with reading comprehension: I asked where you attended college. Why? Because it's clear from your previous comments on this board that you (or at least your "ND fan persona") think ND should prostitute itself to win at all costs and become a football factory. Given that such a belief exhibits an utter misunderstanding of how ND works, it therefore follows that you (or at least your "ND fan persona") are only setting yourself up for a lifetime of disappointment as an ND fan. Consequently, I suggest that you would be better served supporting another team whose values accord more closely with what you seek in a football team, perhaps the football team of the college you attended. That's why asked you where you went to college. I'm still puzzled why you are ashamed to reveal where you went to school.

Of course, all of this presupposes that you're truly an ND fan---which is doubtful.

Guys, I really try to stay positive and look for the bright spots, I really do. I just do not see how in the world ND will ever compete with the top tier programs as long as things in CFB remain as they are. No, I"m not a "I want ND to be a football factory" type of guy. But its hard not to see that it is what it is these days.

I'm relatively young. I started watching ND football in the mid 80's when I was 7 or 8 years old. It was the "good ol' days" so to speak. Maybe I got spoiled. But something certainly happened from the time Holtz left until now.
