I'm trying to make sense of this program not REALLY being in title contention even when they have great seasons. Do they do too much during the season to get interviews and videos out each week to us fans? Do they need to maybe end the shamrock series games and have that game a REAL home game instead of more travel? Wouldn't it be cool to play at more teams home stadiums instead of PRO stadiums to have more college stadium atmospheres and experiences instead of the sterile pro stadiums. (It feels like they are drug around the country like rock stars, instead of a college football team) I'm for simplifying the season, giving the players and coaches as much down time as they can to have the energy to fight through a season and finish STRONG and in REAL contention for a National Championship. (I love the videos and press info, but would definitely trade that for results ons the field) IMO

keep losing and no one will be paying attention to any of the problems. And unfortunately the losing is still profitable. But, it won't be profitable forever. Once no one cares - noone will car!

Does ND produce more videos or have their players give more interviews than other similar programs? (It's an honest question - I don't know since I don't spend time watching ND videos/interviews during the week, and I don't pay attention to what other programs do.)

I'm all for ending the off-site home games.

We all know the answer...it's the university pimping out the "brand" instead of focusing on the actual product. First rule of marketing...if you have a subpar product, better focus on the packaging.

The frequent posters and alumni have a better handle on this than most of us, but I think we all agree that the university has decided that a perenially top tier program for the football team is no longer. We either have to accept that or stop paying for tickets, merchandise, and finding other games to watch on Saturdays until the money train slows.
