Interesting. He calls out one of his players by name for the Josh TD home run ball, blames a missed off sides call by the officials on the pick six, says that they missed other calls but he doesn't want to discuss it because of the fines involved, and wishes he had his team at full strength for the game (see Jimbo and a dozen other teams on that one). They still have a ton to play for starting Saturday.

Yeah, he didn't handle that all too well IMO.

They went up to SB looking for a win and things didn't go their way. It has to be very difficult to face the press after any loss, but as the HC it comes with the territory.

He obviously hadn't seen the replay on the "offsides" non-call.

I am always happy that we use the opponents' conference refs at ND in situations like this. It really tempers excuse making by opposing players, fans and coaches.

I am also a UCF fan. Scott Frost got 15 yard penalty arguing a call on Saturday. After the game during his presser he acknowledged he was wrong (even though he never saw the replay, was just told by other coaches) and took full responsibility for needing to be better than how he acted.

That's how a man handles those types of situations.

Bet he didn't comment on the blown call against boykin.

No he didn't and that was as flagrant a pass interference (holding) call that you could have. The official that missed that call, and it happens, must be shaking his head watching that game film.

I just popped into the NCST to see the reaction andmost, not all, of them are blaming the refs for the loss. I'm just wondering they blame the refs for ND's 300+ yards rushing?

That is funny complaining about calls in a 21 which could have easily been a 28 pt. blow out.

How can they blame the refs? They only had one drive for a score. They where lucky to have 14 points and that ND didn't tack on an extra score at the end. Refs had nothing to do with the final score or the ass whipping they received.

They scored 7 points on offense. No way they can blame the refs. It probably didn’t help Doeran that he could hear the ND coaches and players whooping it up their locker room. I laughed.

My guess is they are complaining that we got away with pass interference because our cornerbacks played aggressively and broke up a ton of passes.

It’s fine - we are where we want to be, on the winning side of a clearly dominant performance. Let him/them complain.....

It was a beautiful afternoon in Historic Notre Dame Stadium. Did you hear the crackling bones of NC State's will to win under the thunderous pounding of the lads of Notre Dame? It was a glorious sound to hear again.

Watching three different college football post Saturday shows, not one of them mentioned the officials when talking about the game, including the pick six. Time for both teams to move on. NCST will have their hands full Saturday.

Doreen is right. it's to bad his players got beat up in the game. Hines came in healthy and he lasted 2 plays ..His team was healthy coming and the NCST DL got banged up in this game ! This ND team punished them and it was a battle . I was impressed with the pass pro of the NCstate OL. Their Dl played hard but we wore them out . n another note I'm in shock .. Joey Baylor Galloway picked us 3. Our front 7 beats the crap out of teams players . Jones 2 weeks ago and hines this week .. who is next ?

Ncsu has a very passionate fan base, but notorious for being bad losers. They are the team whose fans always blame refs, weather, blown calls, acc conspiracy theories etc for their losses. It's pretty bad. Growing up there I can say their best year in almost every sport is always "next year".

#1 ran his mouth the entire game tried to Start stuff as well and flutie says boy he’s just tough gtfoh

Sour grapes, man. Not like they lost a close game.

For the Adams 77 yard run, we had the perfect play called for their defensive alignment. They had the safeties up close to the line. Nobody back deep. Sometimes you just get lucky.

That dude was the definition of sore loser.
I guy I work with was MUCH worse. He was blaming the refs for the entire thing, then he went on about ND being independent and the NCAA letting them do whatever they want, blah, blah, blah.

I pointed out ND taking a knee at the three at the end of the game and told him it could have been a FOUR TD margin. Then he admitted they quit at the end.

Never make comments in the heat of the moment. Easier said than done. I'm sure he feels like an ass. Or he should at least. Our coach has had a few of those moments.
