Obviously hoping for a great effort from the players AND coaches but it will be interesting to see.

I do expect the lads to fight hard tomorrow for four quarters and we'll see what happens. I think about the 1970 game a lot whenever ND plays USC. ND should have won that game with no difficulty, but they found a way to win with a lot of help from ND. Brian Kelly is no Ara Parseghian but their coach isn't John McKay either. We will see tomorrow afternoon.

I'll keep it pg but I'm also ready for him to go. I hate to say a blow out but that may be whats needed for Jack to come to his senses. I love the fight in our players, but so sickened by them being so poorly coached and out of position so often. ND can do better WE deserve better.

well if ND gets outcoached Sat, then that is really really a hard thing given the opponent!

If the shoe were on the other foot, I'd fully expect USC to play the game of their lives. I don't see that with this ND team. Not enough talent on defense, a high school offense, and no hard asses on either side of the ball. They have looked like they are just going through the motions ever since Michigan State.

I'm keeping an eye on the Michigan-OSU game. That's what I'd like to see at ND. Guys willing to give their all, not whining that they have to go school on Monday.

Can't speak for others, but i'm merely stating i think a blow out is the only way ND gets rid of Kelly. Not saying im rooting for one. I simply am tired of Kelly. And wish to see something that resembles the upper echelon of college football! I think its been long enough to not put together a decade of multiple 10 win seasons with an occasional down year. People are coming down on Dantonio. Be honest i dont think many people would be bitching too bad had we won 10 gms 5 seasons out of 7 with a major bowl win! Am i wrong?

I think the players will play their hearts out. Unfortunately I have become increasingly suspect of the play calling and the in-game coaching decisions that Kelly makes. I believe that if he let the O coordinator call the plays and quit micro-managing the team we could be better off.

That's it in a nutshell.

I expect the team to go out just like they have all season long...start with a flourish, then face some adversity and adjustments from the other team...and be unable to stem the tide. Tough year.

here is the story of the game:
On 4 and 15 from the ND 20, Kelly orders a fake punt and loses 10 yards. USC ball on ND 10
USC scores a TD with 10 seconds to go to take a 37-33 lead!
Coach Helton, emulating Kelly, tries an onsides kick!
As the The ball bounces high, SC players over run the ball; it bounces into the hands of Q. Nelson who has only to beat JuJu Smith, who seemingly has the angle on him, but Nelson takes off lumbering for the goal line, pursued by JUJU, shockingly putting distance between him and Smith! he heads into the EZ for the last play Irish W!

At the post game presser Helton blames his kicker, he said he said on sides kick, but he meant he should squib kick and the kicker should have known! He blames JJS for failing to catch the streaking Nelson!
Kelly said he checked his chart and it it read fake punt! He blames Common Core for confusion!
After the game both Helton and Kelly get contract extensions

He sad part is say you get a great effort from the kids and every break is going the way of the Irish early and they jump out to a 17-20 point lead you know it will still end up coming down to the wire the way it has gone with this team. They can't hold on to any lead.
