I didn't notice any unusual handshake. Brey spoke before the game to ESPN how Coach K. had been a mentor to him and meant to much to him. Plus Brey is simply a very decent person, very polite guy. All that said, there is tension between the two. Coach K. (Who in yesterday's news conference gave high praise to the Irish)was furious at the game last year ND won at home. Furious to lose. When we went to Cameron last year Coach K. kept his starting five in right to the end, as I remember, with a massive lead. I saw an interview with Coach Brey in, what, the summer,
and he was asked about playing Coach K. 'I really love kicking his behind', Brey said, verbatim. Anyway, Coach K. is exceptionally gracious most always. He doesn't like to coach against the Duke 'family' as a rule. When we beat Duke again last year in the ACC tournament, K. was obviously beside himself. Anyway Brey represents ND with great dignity. They play a beautiful kind of basketball, and his players tend to stick around. I sure hope Demetrius
Jackson stays for another year.
