Coach Holtz knocked it out of the park in Ann Arbor yesterday.

Harbaugh killed it yesterday.... He also "poached" ND celebrity fan Vince Vaughn ....

Further bursts of stardom were sprayed into the proceedings in rapid-fire videos welcoming the new class to Michigan. Those cameos included comedy duo Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, actor Verne Troyer, NFL Network's Rich Eisen and ESPN's Jalen Rose, among many others.

Wow, I knew my life just wasn't complete yesterday for some reason.........but then again as a ND fan, I couldn't care less what another school is doing to make signing day even more idiotic in their festivities...........doing away with the fake suspense announcements and the commentators following up with their deep questions is another thing that could go away and no one would be the worse for it

it's okay to admit your weaknesses. learn man, LEARN.

Maybe old Lou will do a little soft shoe for ND next year? Or, who knows maybe he'll go back to UM or maybe even USC? All depends on who ponies up the most $$$.

And I don't care how much they paid him. And I don't care how good of a prior relationship he had with PJ Harbaugh. If the relationship was so good then PJ would of understood when Lou should of told him "my allegiance is to ND and an appearance at one of the more important days for a program at your school would not be good".

PJ would of understood and Lou doesn't need the $$. Lou used poor judgment.

Maybe Lou is just tired of waiting 25 years for a Return to Glory that never comes and is jumping ship!

Too bad only a few Walmart types were watching that pathetic display.

yeah, I suppose you're right...that is if you don't count the non-stop coverage on ESPN, USAToday, twitter, social media and Satellite Radio sports talk shows...seems like most everything Harbaugh does goes completely unnoticed by the media....lol

btw hate to burst anyone's bubble but Lou didn't get paid for his appearance at Michigan....so there's that.....

I heard that the only thing he may have gotten is travel (hotel/air)....

Maybe argus can ask him over lunch or golf....

Yawn - most people are only interested in Alabama's and Florida State's top classes watching that crap.

Michigan is now committed from top to bottom to winning a National Championship. ND is not committed from top to bottom to winning it all, ND would like to win it all and still bask in the glow of it's own virtue. Quite simply ND is smoking it's own dope and has deluded itself into thinking it can compete at the top echelon of College Football,

And now it has some misleading empirical evidence because Brian Kelly is so good and he has elevated the program to it's highest level in 23 years. But it is maxed out. If Brian Kelly was at LSU, Alabama, or Ohio State these past 6 years, IMO he'd be working on his 3rd National Title.

If I were him I would make one more pass at the ring next year and clear out of dodge. Most likely the Dallas Cowboys job will open up next year. Collect Jerry Jones paychecks for awhile and then ride off into the sunset.

Just because Coach Kelly doesn't climb trees, pose in pajamas with recruits or have that semi-deranged look of intensity during games/interviews doesn't make his desire to win any less than other coaches. You say Michigan is 100% committed to winning and ND isn't committed? Show me the proof in that statement. ND has installed the field turf most everyone said we needed, they've upgraded their facilities and did everything they could to recruit what I think is a very, very good class. Your statement makes no sense that ND doesn't want to win as badly as other programs.

Yeah...........sure. He just showed out of the goodness of his heart........

BTW, have you attended any of his paid in advance, paid admission only speaking engagements? o_O

Lou got paid "HUGE" - thanks Hardballs.
I guess UofM needs to piggy back off the Irish to find relevance. Everybody knows Rockne - nobody knows Fritz Crisler - they think he made crappy cars and put lead in the water.

Hi Alice! And ain't it the truth!

And thanks for including the video when Bobby Bowden and the Florida State Seminoles beat Nick Saban and the Alabama Tide. Good stuff! You're a great fan Alice! ;)

What video? I didn't scroll past the picture of Bowden. You mean the game in 2007 that FSU had to vacate? Not to mention that Bama is listed at 2-6 that year. (with vacated games too)
~Laughing and shaking my head at you~

Again you're frothing over a game played in 2007 while both teams were vacating wins.

Had no clue the video was attached to the page in fact when I went to check it out...it's not there for me. My computer must think it's spam. :D

All you have to do is click on your own link and scroll down.

It's going to be interesting to see what teams make the playoffs this year. All the new recruits should be a big help. Do you think any of ND's new recruits will start or see playing time in 2016? Your thoughts?

Good grief! I did scroll down and where the video should be is a blank space, not like I would have watched it. If Bama would have won that game, would they of had to vacate it like FSU?
I can only regurgitate names I've read in articles about the 2016 Irish recruits that have a chance for early playing time.
Perry and Studstill (safeties)
McKinley (receiver)
Kraemer (OL)
Kareem (DE)
Could be more, but they all have to fight their way up the depth chart.

Apparently then the video is gone. Not like you missed anything.

Re: the list of players. Thank you for your thoughts. I will make a note of them and watch and see if they get any playing time. If Kelly is anything like Fisher they may have to wait until starters go down before the coach is forced to put them in.

You may recall in the Champs Sports Bowl of 2011 Fisher was forced to start 5 freshmen on the O-line due to injuries. Because of that they nearly lost that game but that same O-line group would go on to be undefeated and win a NC later on. So, sometimes it's a good thing when freshmen are forced to step up and play early and gain real game experience. Best of luck to all of them.

Duo, you always bring a smile to my face. It's on to spring football.
Now that's more like it! Sometimes we fans forget the whole idea behind CFB is to have fun. Years after they have retired from the game players will recall all the fun and trials and tribulations they had while playing HS and CFB. And most of those stories are accompanied by raucous laughter and tears of joy! :D
