For those of you that are so in love with Mullen being the next ND coach, I offer the following:

Overall record at Mississippi State - 59-40
Conference record during that time 28-33

But hey, they're hanging tough with Alabama. They're only down 24-0 with 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter.

Yeah, but you throw in three patsies a year and those numbers look even worse. Plus, the SEC isn't all Alabama quality. There are some like Vandy, Missouri, Kentucky and now South Carolina that aren't exactly formidable.

I just don't see him as a top-flight HC.
