D1042. &. DIP

ski, thanks for keeping us koots in mind.

1stly: I was not aware that DIP had problems? Always a favorite of mine! May God please keep him safe n sound!

Me, been a tough 10 days. Taking poisons to kill a poison is never without consequences. I took a few 8 counts this week, but I manage to get up, throw a few! Tough being isolated from friends n family for so long. But my system immunity is like the ND DL was under BVG!

Alway thinking of you guys from the way back WOWO days! BTW, has anyone heard from Ara?

dags was my late late night buddy! miss him too!

d1042, 🙏🙏🙏 to you. Thinking about you, hope you start feeling better soon.

concerned about Ara & his wife, i know some here have a way of contact with him, sure hope he is ✅ ok!

We guys are getting fewer! My week was:
Hematologist infusion room 3 trips
Cardiologist 1 trip
Labcorp
ER 2 trips
Had already recently (month) been to have eyes checked twice previously as a precaution

Maybe next week will be better. We need a 5* commit after all this!

d1042, you must be a true warrior to have a week like that. Take care and hopefully have a better next week.

Thinking of you d1042 every time I jump on here to read posts and offer my own. I know you read scripture and hold deep beliefs; and in that vein, I say a prayer for you each time. Just take one prayerful day at a time, and I pray you have many more good days ahead.

Hang in there. The 4th quarter is always the test. That and any overtime one gets.

Plus, you’re not alone.

I had a stent put in a few weeks ago as my main lateral artery was 95% blocked, and me an alcohol/drug-free 155 lb. VEGAN with almost perfect blood scores and low BP.

The guy in the next bed – an ex-SANDHOG who had one hundred percent blockages – needed 5 stents and was given a sub-50% chance of leaving the hospital alive. They were even considering breaking his sternum to insert the stents. Anyway, after a three-hour procedure, he made it, walking out the next day a few hours before I did.

What though the odds . . .

Lots of aches and pains, but I am still trying to enjoy life and looking forward to a few more ND football seasons withD1942 , DIP and all my Friends on Under the Dome !

How’s rattlesnake mountain treating you? I hope No more large rattlesnakes have made it over your yard wall. Stomach still does a flip when I recall your story of back to back encounters. Just finished Shaara’s book, Frozen Hours, another testament to the incredible courage you and your fellow marines showed during the battle of Chosin Resevoir, under conditions none of us can honestly imagine. Respect and admiration for you and your fellow marines. Keep posting as I enjoy you specifically, and our back and forth generally.

Thank you Telx,
So far no more encounters with Rattlesnakes , but now is that time of year that they come out to sun themselves, so when I step
out of the house, Before I I look in all directions.
I haven’t heard any thing for Poet, I sure hope and pray that he is doing well ?
As I get my Chosin Few monthly magazine, we are almost all gone. Most of the members are children and grandchildren of their deceased Chosin veterans. In a few years there will be none of us left. Thank you my friend !
