Attending FSU game. Got a feeling in 2 months he could be ND. Attended Scum Ducks last week. Looking. So are we.

Is he talking to potential flip Blair Underwood about scum? Are we able to find love second time around?

Based on NDs track record closing these fickle composite top 100 recruits during the MF era, it's hard to count any chickens before they hatch. But the fact that he's wavering on his flip to LSU and visiting ND is of course a great sign.

It's also funny that his ranking is falling from 50s overall to 80s overall and NOW he's considering flipping back to ND. Why isn't it ever the opposite?

Who cares

Apparently he has particularly poor production on a run-first HS team, which I guess is what Bishop Gorman is now. But he definitely looks that part, athletic and graceful and fluid. And very tall. Maybe a project, but with very legit upside.

IF we somehow land Meadows and Parham this will be the weirdest large WR class i can remember anywhere. A ton of high upside but they all have very very low floors as they are all very raw other than burress. Burress has like T.J. Jones upside, and I think that would be awesome as we need someone t definitely hit in this class sooner rather than later.

Also, i'm not even considering Bettis as a WR, and I sure hope the staff isn't either.

We need high upside guys more than high floor guys. I'm all for high upside

Sure but each of their floors are so frichan low due to hardly playing the position and limited to know productivity at wr.

2025 season we have to go portal for starter quality again. 2026 season we have to as well unless everyone in the 2024 class is a stud or someone(s) from 2025 class are legit quickly

25 we could go to portal for a starter but not necessarily. If there is a guy out there, take him. We could go for a starter if there is a good one out there or we can go for quality depth.

26 year we may not need any wrs from the 25 class

Faison
Greathouse
KK
Cam
Gilbert
Saldate

We can go to portal, maybe a 25 guy hits by year 2 or if we sign a stud frosh

Agree. Much rather have quality speed at WR than height.

That said, I like Beaux Collins a lot.

Doesn't matter if he dropped a bit, he's still an elite recruit that ND is in great position to land.

So you don’t want him now? After all your whimpering?

When it comes to WR, I am in agreement. Get as many high upside guys into the program for depth and let them compete. Recruit the fastest guys and go from there.
I agree as well, but it would be nice to know they at least are walking in knowing how to run routes and catch the ball. The players we're recruiting at WR haven't produced ever. With that said, we could develop them into home runs, or they could amount to nothing. Very low floors.

Jett Washington 26' from Bishop Gorman more important than Meadows. I consider him a Hessian soldier. Always looking to highest bidder but little production guaranteed.

Hope you didn't invite cousin Eddie this Thanksgiving?

That was great, did you just compare an elite recruit, in this case Derek Meadows to a hessian mercenary soldier of fortune? Nice! That's how you know we're in the age of NIL....

Ski, I hope you’re prophetic here. Meadows is an elite talent imo. His production in a very good football program here in Vegas certainly looks lame. But, he plays on a team with a very good qb that still only averages something like 10 passes a game. They have a burner at the slot that gets big time separation and he has become the primary hr target in a limited passing attack. I think the major college programs recognize Meadows as an elite talent, and I’m pumped that we’re still in his head after committing to LSU several months ago. This weekend we either close the deal or it’s not going to happen. Looking forward to your next OP titled Meadows is Irish!☘️

Based on what I have seen on film, I believe this kid is very good. Elite is a bit of a stretch for me.

We were all anxiously awaiting your film diagnosis. Elite per usual, keep them coming. We’re on pins and needles

I'm thinking this flip has to happen, right? First off, it's very telling that he went to ND this weekend, while LSU played Bama. Secondly, ND put on a show and LSU got bombed. Thirdly, who would you rather play for? Kelly or Freeman? Come on!

I am certainly glad that Kelly is a situation for LSU to handle. No way he should be getting blown out at home like that in year 3 with those resources available.

His recruiting classes (prior to 2025) have been pretty "meh" by LSUs standards. If he can hold onto this top 5 class in 2025 and follow up with another in 2026 .. they can be legit national title contenders in a year or two down the road IMO
