Brian Kelly doesn't believe the defense is bad. No matter how unprecedented and historically record-settingly bad the stats are the last 2+ years, he doesn't believe there is a problem with the defense. The problem is with us Negative Nancys who need to "pump our brakes." And so the ineptitude continues.

State didn't ease up...just because Flute said that doesn't make it so.

What was different was Kelly decided to wait 2.5 quarters until finally revisiting the deep ball. He didn't even show State the deep pass. It's not always about completing it but rather keeping the D honest.

Kizer came out...shotgun snap, two step drop and aired the ball out. In other words he got rid of it quickly. The comeback was on at that moment.

Yet again Kelly has NO sense of feel to these games.

Example...Kizer gets sacked...Kelly burns a timeout to punt the ball. That should have been decided instantly and kept all three.

Having said the above

the defense might be the worst ever in the history of football at this university.

BVG is an unreal hire. Steals his paycheck every week.

I've never seen such a horrible tackling team.

And I'm not going to rip on any players specifically , especially when these players collectively can't tackle, can't cover, play out of control, confused, etc. All the very things on BVG lap.
