Thought ND had a very strict curfew in place through-out summer/fall camps & season for the team..
What happened to it?

Fall camp ended Friday. They had two days off before beginning the fall season on Monday.
Harbaugh knocks on players rooms at any hour to check on them.
He did this at Stanford and players feared the potential knock.
Franchise responsibility starts at the top....

You have a really unhealthy love affair with coach Harbaugh.

More like lock down..... He's crazy like a fox.

Maybe he'd get more sleep if he issued ankle bracelets.

I liked the story about making a troubled player live with his 81 year old grandma.

He acts like a buttmunch sometimes and I hope he loses a lot because I hate Michigan, but he's a good coach.

Mr Potato Head stinks.....
san francisco for sure. of course you will claim otherwise. very good coach with an abrasive personality. its who he is. who is this mr. potato head you speak of ?

Without a doubt, the 49ers.
cbssports article by Jason La Canfora from 2/23/2014 states that the relationship between harbaugh and the 49ers fron office is much worse than being reported by the media. again jim harbaugh is a very good coach who is difficult to get along with.

Get a grip. Tons, if not all, of the 49er fans and players love the guy. I like how you are now avoiding your "stops" comment.

He got into it with GM Baalke and ND grad/CEO York. Here are a couple of highlights that added fuel.

"Source: midway thru 2014, York walked into meeting Harbaugh was holding w/ players, & Harbaugh told Jed that the meeting was for "men only"
http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...jed-york-that-meeting-was-for-men-only-060815

"Trent Baalke's daughter rips 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman"
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/t...-rips-49ers-offensive-coordinator-greg-roman/

Harbaugh marches to his own beat and the 49er franchise misses his enormous talent. He does not suffer fools lightly.

"During his appearance Wednesday on Sirius XM College Sports, he was asked if he “legitimately” sees himself “coaching Michigan forever, that being the ultimate job for you 20-25 years from now. Do you think that way?”

Harbaugh didn’t hesitate.

“Yeah, I think that way,” Harbaugh said.

“And I think, God willing and the creek don’t rise, that will happen. I love coaching, I love football, I love the University of Michigan and you hope to go as long as you can where you’re still doing it by example, not just through anecdote, and you’re still able to do that as long as the good Lord will allow you to do it.”

Is there another example in professional sports where a coach was that successful and ownership/management couldn't get rid of him fast enough? Maybe Billy Martin?

Would you care to share the stops where he has worn out his welcome?

“You didn’t always play well with others, necessarily,” Kremer says to Harbaugh.

“Yeah, people say that,” Harbaugh responds.

“Well, what do you say?” Kremer asks.

“It must be true, yeah,” Harbaugh replies. “Sometimes I’d wear out my welcome.”

“What does that mean you wear out your welcome?”

“They just don’t want to be around you after a while,” Harbaugh admits.

I've written that Shaw refers to Harbaugh as, "that crazy tornado of a man."
He had issues with 2 guys I know of in the 49er front office. Their meddling contributed to the problem.

No you didn't mention "stops".
You agreed with.
"Its a good reason he does not last long in most places."
"very true. he does wear out his welcome."

He wore out his welcome with certain meddling 49er execs.... big deal.

That's hardly, "most places".

I was just quoting Harbaugh's own words. He had his issues when he was with the Bears.

Bears` Harbaugh Is Arrested On Disorderly Conduct Charge
  • Bears quarterback Jim Harbaugh was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge early Monday at a Rush Street tavern after ignoring a police warning to stop yelling obscenities and leave the area, police said.

Harbaugh was shouting obscenities to a crowd that included plainclothes police officers at SheNannigans, 16 W. Division St., said Sgt. E.C. Nelson of the East Chicago Avenue District. The officers identified themselves and ordered Harbaugh to leave the area, Nelson said.

A short time later, when the same police officers were investigating another disturbance at 1 W. Division St., Harbaugh showed up and started shouting obscenities at them again, Nelson said. They tried to take him into custody, but Harbaugh ran away.

Nelson said the police officers chased Harbaugh back to SheNannigans, where he was arrested in the basement. The officers used ``necessary force``

    to handcuff Harbaugh, Nelson said.

``It`s kind of hard to disturb the peace in that area-people are always loud,`` Nelson said. ``He must have been really obnoxious. Evidently, he just got way out of line.``

^^^^^ I know from personal experience - it was pretty hard to wear out your welcome on Rush Street in the late 80's

Last month Harbaugh said being his Chicago were the best days of his life.

After attending "Disco Demolition" at Guaranteed Rate Field, we headed to Mother's for a night of music and Foosball. That was back in the day. I'm older than that now.

I think this unhealthy love affair cvgr was with JH is pretty evident now! cvgr would much rather see Michigan be successful then Notre Dame.

Mother's still thrives on Division. I was there St. Patrick's Day with a buddy that was about to get married. Felt painfully old. I stopped going out on Rush when it turned into the "Viagra Triangle".

The incident you are referencing occurred in May of 1988. It was Harbaugh's second year and he played with Chicago through 1993. It doesn't look like it was much of an issue.

He called an audible that didn't work out and Ditka lost his mind.... Big deal...

Right, Harbaugh's been a jerk that's difficult to along with for a long time. He's not the first good hyper-competitive head coach to have a problem getting along with everyone. You don't have to pretend like he's got along with everybody in his career except two people. That would be weird. Even HE doesn't believe that.

Harbaugh's not easy to get along with. Big deal.

I'm not pretending anything. The 2 folks I mentioned appear to be the main cause of his 49er demise which he had no problem expediting. His comment to York is/was classic.

He marches to his own beat and does not suffer fools lightly. He's certainly not infallible.

He made a fantastic choice of QB Kaepernick over Alex Smith..lol. He is a legend in his and your little vapid minds.

Oh, I thought the general discussion was whether Harbaugh wears out his welcome. When HE was asked directly, he said it was probably true. Not sure why anyone would dig in and argue against it when Harbaugh himself recognizes he wears people down.

I started to read all the threads and just stopped after hearing from the same misinformed but "all-knowing" clowns such as Echo. If any of you think that Kelly is equivalent to Harbaugh, you are idiots. echo claims to be this all knowing high school football coach but he gets more ignorant every time he posts. This guy is a flat out fake.
