— Notre Dame is after its post-Will Shipley offered running back targets in the 2021 class. It seems that Louisiana ball carrier Logan Diggs is at the top of the board, and he had a "virtual visit" with the coaching staff yesterday. Notre Dame is looking at some other options if things don't work out with its current targets. Here are a couple new names...

— Irish recruiting coordinator and special teams coordinator Brian Polian has already been in contact with Jordan Hornbeak, a 6-0, 190-pounder from Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial (same HS as WR Jalen McMillian last year, and yes, from Fresno). Hornbeak holds offers from Boise State, Cal, Colorado, UCLA, Washington and others. You can watch his junior highlights here. I would highly recommend taking a look at his tape. He rushed for 1,697 yards and 19 scores last fall.

— Another back to keep an eye on is Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls' JP Martin. Notre Dame hasn't been in any contact with Martin yet, but the staff is taking a look at him. His offer lists consists of the likes of Boise State, Houston, Michigan State, Navy and a handful of Ivy League schools and other Group of Five programs. The 5-11, 187-pounder rushed for 1,481 yards and 25 touchdowns during his junior campaign, and you can click here to watch his tape. Martin looks on the slimmer side, but he is very quick and shows good explosiveness.
