I don't believe the article states Briles is more successful or better but bases rankings more on coaches who win more games per season than they are expected to, or loses more than expected.

And it ranks Briles ahead of one of the best dynasties in modern college football.

And the fact that it would include this guy after what he did, speaks a ton to it as well.

I think you are missing the point of the ranking, but opinions vary I suppose.
