At a loss for words really. Kelly has lost this team and can't stay but the way these kids are playing is truly sad as well. Basic things like throwing, tackling, catching, blocking, SNAPPING, etc... should have been learned well before they stepped onto the field at ND and thus why most were 3-4 star recruits. It seems like some of these kids were definitely overrated but the coaches still haven't done a good enough job at keeping up the fundamentals of the game. Some position players get more of a break because unless you get a 5 star freak at DB, it is a difficult position to jump into out of high school. Unfortunately we just don't get many of those players anymore and even if a guy like Saban was here he would have a tough time getting them as well.

Oh well, time to see who will be next coach. I have a feeling the administration may go after Houston coach but I think he signed a new deal last season? I don't think any big name coach will come to ND these days, it is just to restrictive. Sure if the school wants to fork out 7 million a year anyone will come but they won't do that so it's a dead argument. I can't even think of who is available, they may have to hire a bigger name assistant which maybe a good thing.

Regardless I really hope whoever comes in as coach brings an attitude and the administration doesn't step in like they did with Holtz. I miss the days we had guys like Zorich and Tim Brown, they had an edge and didn't take crap from others. Unfortunately as long as the program continues to rake in money, I don't expect much to change.

May not get to 5 wins, don't see how he stays. I don't blame him for everything, as I said the kids are playing terrible as well.
