Coach Rhule on Sirius radio

ND may have lost had Jaylon Smith not played. He must have had 20 tackles or at least it seemed that way.

I also listened to the interview on Sirius xm radio and he had nothing but good things to say about our irish and coach kelly

Haven't you heard? Coach Kelly to the Giants. It was posted here so it must have legs. I like Coach Rhule but if it was the same XM radio show I was listening too, you would have thought Temple won the game. Just to make it fair and balanced, perhaps Mike Leach should also get all this public attention and love for losing a game, just like the Temple lot are getting.

just called Jaylon Smith the best college player he has ever seen. I think that would include his own linebacker number 8.
Hilarious. When someone has some class....you always over exaggerate compliments of opponents.

Seriously....Lou holtz told us countless times just how incredible the other squad was and we might not even show up to save embarrassment.
Did you forget how coaches are like that. ? It's also friendly ammunition to keep your own squad motivated and striving.

But you hold onto that one.... I love Jaylon but #8 was the best linebacker on that night.

You keep telling yourself that.

Let's see how Coach Rhule does against Houston and Memphis. He has done a great job at Temple with his aggressive defense but the season isn't over yet.

I agree with the way Herbstreit and David Pollack talk about Jaylon - he's the most gifted athlete at the position. That is clearly a huge compliment...but is also implying he is NOT the best linebacker, that he is a work in progress - physically he can do it all, and make plays many cannot make. If you gave Manti T'eo Jaylon's Smith's athletic ability you could bronze the linebacker position and put it on a shelf.

JS is overrated and can't hold a candle to Manti. Manti made big plays. JS recovers a fumble or two during the season, has no sacks and averages 5 tackles a game.

manti overran more plays his first three years than any nd player I've ever seen. phenomenal senior year. pretty average in the nfl. can't hold a candle to kuechly. jaylon is a likely top ten pick. they also play different positions.

More freedom, less production.
