using the Slot guy in motion as "the" pitch-back in a true triple option ? The RB would be the first option in a typical Read Option, but instead of a direct hand-off to the Slot guy in Jet Sweep action, he would slow down his speed and become a true pitch guy. This way, even if the DE doesn't crash down, he would be stressed by having Zaire and the Slot guy. What are your thoughts on ND running this specific play a couple times per game ? Zaire ran a true Option his Jr. year and probably would have a good feel for executing the pitch. Also the threat of Folston as counter action to the Slot guy would keep everyone frozen and honest. Also, seeing how the defense moves when the Slot is in motion, how does that help Zaire in reading what coverage the defense is in ?
