Closer to winning it all ?

The ND football program? Or the ND basketball program? IMO because of the fewer number of players it takes to make an impact on the basketball floor, and the fact many of the supposed basketball super powers are inflicted by the "One and Done". I could see ND winning a NCAA basketball title before a football title.

Curious to see what some of you guys think?

ND should be a preseason top-5 in basketball next season. Considering I don't think ND football will ever win a national title again, I'm going with the men's hoops team on this. This March Madness has a chance to be big time special for ND.

Notre Dame is going to win it all in Football this year-- 14 and 0. But the basketball team could win it all before.

*** If this happens they should make a statue of Mike Brey and Brian Kelly together fist bumping each other.

ND should definitely focus on being a men's basketball power. It is definitely a lot more doable than football. I agree with this USC fan that ND won't be winning an NC in football ever again, unless it is flag/touch football or something like that.

Football is closer and will win another nc at some point. If i did not believe it i would give up watching football. ND will never win an nc in basketball. Don't get me wrong i think coach Brey does a great job developing players. I just think there is more cheating in men's bb then fb. The one and done players. Plus ND will never get a decent seed.Enjoy whats left of the season and who knows this may be the beginning of a good run in bb. I have been watching ND teams for almost 45 years and have more faith in fb. On a side note ( i'm going by memory) ND football has always been good when bb was good.So i expect a great 2015 fb season.

It doesn't matter if you look like Don Knotts if you make your 3's. ND will have to do something special, but they could definitely beat anybody on any given night. Just a question if they can string 6 high quality games together.

the basketball program will win one before the football team because coach McGraw's team has a great shot to make it's fifth straight final four this year and the way there playing right now they have a shot at beating uconn
