If anyone had a link or proof to FSU playing layers hat didn't meet NCAA minimums then FSU wouldn't have a football program any longer.
Asking for that is simply idiotic
That doesn't mean that FSU hasn't ever jimmied the system to get people in that are just below the line
FSU has recruited and signed some people who are below par both academically and character wise...but that's not unique to FSU. In fact it's common through the country.
Schools like Stanford, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, etc. that impose additional restrictions on themselves beyond the NCAA minimums...and those are still far from perfect
Denying these realities is beyond foolish...its intentionally idiotic and argumentative
Some players take time to develop, so Watkins could be an example that. From what Kelly said, he seems to believe he had a future impact at ND

I question BK's statement regarding Watkins because he is not a Freshmen beginning to stand out with the xtra practices. Watkins has really been a non factor all year long and all of a sudden he is making plays now ? I am happy to hear this but just skeptical. Not a big deal either way. Merry Christmas everyone !

I don't think there is anything wrong with questioning.
But reports held that Watkins was showing play making ability all camp, but was inconsistent and maybe didn't have the "every day mentality" yet
Wouldn't be surprised if this is Kelly trying to encourage a kid who is continuing to show ability, but isn't quite ready for full time action (yet)
Hopefully he gets there by next season. Opportunity will be there
Seems like every year we hear/read about some freshman making a major impression during the bowl prep time. I think the added weeks of practice and exposure provide a great opportunity for young guys to show themselves, versus the three of four days of running the other teams plays or defensive schemes that consume the regular season. Kelly often uses these press meetings to send messages to his players. Nothing wrong with questioning if this is really significant or not.
ND probably can get 3-4 more. McKInley,kelly,McColloughorJones,and Fuller would be a great haul. Robertson is a take no matter but unless he revisits before signing day,I don't see it happening.Velus Jones could be a wild card flip.
4 star CA ATH Burton just announced his final top 7 in no order in the last couple of days and our irish made the cut but I couldn't tell you how much of a shot our irish have with him. more and more people on different boards seem to think that McKinley is a silent and and from what i'm reading from insiders I think we get him. i'm somewhat confused on jones because I keep reading that our irish are in really good shape with him but then Michigan fans on there boards will tell you that they think there in good shape for him

Since you're curious I will respond to answer your questions.
First of all we must have a different definition for trolling. If I had the word Irish in my handle you would have no trouble or argument with my posts.
I do not come to this site to discuss anything about FSU. In fact, in the nine or so years I have posted here I have NEVER brought FSU up once. Not a single time. I have RESPONDED to hundreds of threads and posts spewing bad or obsessive information, attacks about FSU, its coaches and players. Most of the time hypocritical in nature. Most certainly 90 percent of the time dishonest.
I too couldn't care less about Jimbo or FSU when at this site. Too bad many of the ND fans don't feel the same way.
Regarding Warchant. I visit Warchant several times a day. Ten times more often than here. For the better part of the last fifteen years I was a Premium member. Last year or two I dropped the paying site so I am at the free site mostly. Occasionally I post but since the rules at Warchant have changed the site went from the #1 Rivals site to ..... well ... something less. A lot less. There are about a half dozen regular posters who make contributions (debate or argue). That's it. Warchant free site allows no (zero, nada, ziltch) discussion about recruiting. If you mention a recruit's name on that site you would be lucky if you are warned. It usually results in an instant banning. Bottom line is ...especially this time of the year ... there is very little to discuss.
Warchant is VERY tightly monitored. Eighty to ninety percent of the posts at this site would be deleted instantly. The same number of posters here would be instantly banned if they posted what they routinely do at this site on a daily basis.
I visit Soundoff more frequently than I do Warchant or here. While I seldom post there there are many regular noles who post there. It's fairly well moderated and has more liber boundaries before bannings occur. If you get banned there (as several here have using multiple aliases) you have blurred the lines of what is tolerated there. You are usually an idiot who has ignored the warnings.
You and every ND fan are encouraged to visit Warchant but yes ..... compared to the crazy that goes on here you will find it boring.
Lastly...... back to trolling ..... IMHO trolling amounts to visitors (and some proclaimed fans) who come here and attack the program, the coaches, the players and the real ND fans. They act like asses in someone elses home. I don't do that. Never have. I haven't made a negative, derogatory or dishonest remark about ND as a univerisity or sports program, about players or coaches. How many self proclaimed ND fans who post here can say that. Yet I'm called a troll. Too funny.
Bottom line is this. You have ND posters here who obesses daily about FSU, its players and coaches and I never do unless it's in response to bad information. If they didn't attack FSU at every opportunity nothing about FSU would ever enter my mind or pass through my lips. You have ND posters here who vilify numerous ND coaches, citicize the program, attack players and the administration and yet I have never said a negative thing about any one of those in nine years of posting. Yet ... I'm the troll.

how did a fun thread started for us recruiting fans get turned into a thread about things going on at fsu. I want to discuss recruiting but have filter through all of the fsu stuff to find recruiting info from fellow recruiting fans like me

I just find that you and Argus or whatever handle he uses argue about FSU and threads get blurred because of it. Why can't you just put him on ignore and allow the rest of us to discuss ND football. I get the impression that Veleus Jones is a plan b guy. a dang good plan b though. I don't know what we're doing at that position though. We've recruited the hack out of Alloway and if he wanted to come I think we'd take him, but a guy like Jones I don't see us pursuing very hard. So its like we'll take a slot guy if Alloway wants to come or we have an opening at the end for another guy. Personally I like Alloway, but think we have bigger fish to fry so don't care if he comes unless it a LOI day decision when we have a spot open.
I think Jones is just insurance in case McKinkey "backs off of his silent commitment"
I expect to land at least McKinkley at WR but ideally we'll get McKinley and Alloway
^yep; DA is a top prospect but CJS is at least as good or better. The '17 class can address the position.
