Cincinnati loss was the best thing for not this season but future of the program

I honestly think if both teams were to play again today, even with the injuries ND would win this game. However, even if ND would've came back to win I'm not sure they would've made the needed changes for the rest of the season and development of younger players. The Joe Alt's, Lorenzo Style's and Logan Diggs' might not have seen the field. I think Tommy has done a much better job with Buchner and sharpened up the quick passing game. Earlier in the year it seemed like every route took 3 to 5 seconds to develop. Now with a little bit of a running game and getting the ball out quicker, they can mix in that deeper shot.
