He called a first down, and the receiver was eight yard short - Awful!!!
Yep...screaming his head off about how awesome the so cal QB was on that play and then the other yacking head has to say "uh he is short"...."Oh yeah"
He was bragging earlier about his hatred of ND. Strange for a national broadcast.
So Fowler just said if A&M beats Lsu tonight and then Lsu beats Uga in the SEC Champ game then the SEC might be shut out of the CFP.

Hey Chris news flash. ND players actually go to class and take real classes. They don’t get coaches to drop off bags of money in chick filet bags or buy 300 thousand dollar houses for the parents of recruits
Stop with the announcers , the refs, always an excuse. We got our asses kicked by a tougher team and an outstanding qb. End of story

Yeah they got beat by a better team. However it was encouraging to see how they kept fighting. They could have easily quit. Yeah on the scoreboard it means nothing. But it tells me MF will get it figured out. They need a few more players and they will be fine
I don't see where anyone says that we lost because of the refs, announcers or anything related. Fowler is just terrible. If you don't believe that to be true, go back and review some of his broadcast this year. We lost because of mistakes and just didn't play well. Even though I hate Southern Cal has a pretty good team.
- Things happened that were unexpected. Not being able to contain the Southern Cal quarterback.
- The defense could not stop the run - Southern Cal was more physical. No run game on tonight.
- The two costly turnovers!!!!!!!!
- Drew Pyne played overall better than expected.
We will get better! I did like that ND did not give up.

I have liked most of the announcers for the ND games...yep even Garrett and Collingsworth. In fact, I like most of the announcers except for Fowler. He keeps trying for his Al Michaels moment "Do you believe in miracles...." and he is a moron.
He’s what I see everyday during White House briefings. People masquerading as neutral reporters. It’s a joke
When an announcer announces, during a Notre Dame game, that’s he’s anti-Notre Dame, I’d say that’s a good reason to complain about the announcer.

Go find another team to pull for as ND obviously does not measure up to your standards.
Funny, the only time anyone says stuff like this, is after ND loses a football game. No one really cares which team has the highest graduation rate or team GPA. Everyone cares about who makes the CFP playoffs.
In fact, ND is a niche program, and is really the only strong academic university that has made the CFP and NY6. So, ND should be able to find 20-25 big time players per year, who have interests beyond a 100 yard long and 53 1/3-yard-wide patch of grass / turf
You’re right. I guess most people don’t care. Personally I respect the fact that ND is one of the few universities that stays true to the “ student athlete”. In today’s college football environment, the deck is stacked against schools like ND. Maybe they won’t ever win a championship again. I don’t know. As long as they stay true to themselves I can always root for that.
