I'm not sure how good a coach he is, but I always thought strong was a high character guy. You can't babysit these guys 24/7. I don't think he recruited these two guys so I think the judge went way overboard in her rant.

The judge is a loser for calling out Strong. Pure ego. Thats the problem with society always blaming adults when either students or minors get in trouble. I am sure Strong does more good in 1 week than that mope will do the rest of her judicial life.

Strong is known as a strong disciplinarian and betting he'll clean house of any malcontents that don't want to follow his rules or run afoul of the law.
First and foremost folks have to be accountant able for their actions even if they're high profile jocks.

There is a guy that played under Strong at ND that goes to the same YMCA as I do. Charlie Strong was his position coach. He has nothing but great things to say about Charlie Strong.

Strong has a reputation for running a no nonsense program and he has been at USF for 3 months this judge was just trying to promote herself plain and simple.

Agree with you. Not sure why Charlie's name has to be drug threw the mud here other then what you stated.

This is one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of having cameras in the courtroom.

I agree this is ridiculous and the this judge should be ostricized for her behavior. They guy has been on the job for three months and the judge went as far as questioning the man credibility as a coach. I read that she was a USF alum so maybe emotion came into play. Only after it went viral did she recuse herself from courts. So in that sense, contrary to what another poster said I'm glad the cameras were in the courtroom.

I wonder if there is a case for defamation by the judge. To use her public elected position to grandstand like that.

If Florida has some sort of Judicial review board then it behooves them to examine the comments made by this judge. People in power, this judge overstepped her position and is obviously commenting on a situation she is ignorant of; and there might be a world of like such issues for this judge.

My guess is C Strong is too classy to file a formal complaint.

(And isn't this judge in the same state as FSU? And Florida? isn't that the state w/Winston went to play football? I don't recall her speaking out then! You don't need to be an alum to speak out.)
