Lost 2 games in a row.

Held scoreless against a middle of the pack team.

Then the conference championship last week.

He looks pretty average guys. He is not playing very good.

He is not better than TB. But the good news, he is better than Pyne right now.

Drew Pyne is 4-1 as a starter. 1-0 against ranked teams.

TB is 0-2 as a starter, 0-1 against ranked teams.

Take a minute, go to the ladies room, and try to compose yourself.

Zorich….this was posted Elsewhere. Are you wrong…or is this wrong?

Saline 49, LO 21. CJ Carr 5 TD’s passing, 2 rushing. Fri night!

That Lake Orian game was from Friday 10/21

I am referring to 10/7 vs Bedford. Bedford is not a good team. Bedford won 7-0 Carr played really bad. Had 85 yards passing.

Then the following week they played Dexter for the conference championship and lost 13-21.

So you're not counting his last game and his good games? Only the 2 you chose?

How is his OL and skill talent?

Maybe TR was moonlighting as their OC for those 2 games. 😂

The only real competition was Dexter.

Carr has a stacked team.

His TE/WR is 6’6

Starting WRs are all 6’0, 6’2, 6’2

Who cares about height. Are they any good. How is his OL and RB?

Stacked? How many fbs players on his team?

Honestly I’m not high or down on him… kinda blah.
Blah in the sense he’s not a can’t miss recruit, but has some potential

I don’t think he would be close to as highly rated without his name

When the CBs they play are little 5’5-5’10, yes tall WRs matter. He literally throws the ball up.

He has not played against any D1 defensive players. Not one!

His Oline is young

6’5 WR has MSU interest

Some MAC talent at WR

When I say stacked I don’t mean D1 talent. I mean compared to the comp they play, Saline is stacked.

He’s only a junior so he has a ways to go, but to me he looks more accurate than TB and more athletic than Pyne.

Remember, he reclassified. He is 18 now. 2023 was his recruiting class. His brother died of cancer as a baby so the family held him out of school for a year and reclassified him.

Not from the tape Ive seen. The losses they had they didnt look to be more talented from what I saw.

Sounds like you say stuff to fit your narrative

And Ive watched a lot of his film this year and he definitley doesnt just throw the ball up

He is more athletic than he was previously so he made strides there

He still needs to put on weight and that could help with arm strength

Hes always going to be accurate

Arrow pointing up

Show me what film you watched of Bedford and Dexter.

They are not more talented than Saline.

I have zero personal bias against Carr. I simply do not believe he is the answer at QB. He is nothing to get excited about.

My current philosophy on ND and quarterback recruiting and developing? Beggars can't be choosers. Nowhere near Top 10.....and "elite" is in a different zip code. The elephant in the room is getting elderly.

It is clear you want to make the case against him and you are acting like a lawyer

Cherry picking 'facts'

It is pathetic

Its on hudl. I dont see either team with any talent outside of Carr. Carrs team did not look more talented to me

He is a better pro style QB than Buchner. This is dumb. I doubt Tom Brady had earth shattering numbers in high school. You’re only as good as the players around you when you’re a pro style QB. CJ can make all the throws, but if you’re not good enough to get open or catch it or block for him, he’s not going to be very good.

For CJ, the camps is where he shines. Getting the ball over a safety and into the arms of Tobias Merriweather makes him look like a different talent than a Saline 5’9 kid that runs a 4.8 40 and can’t catch. CJ is a college, not high school talent. Payton Manning would’ve looked like dog shit as Navy’s QB.

I get what you are saying but no one in the conference has the offensive weapons Carr has had the past 2 seasons.

Believe me, I want Carr to be the greatest quarterback Notre Dame has ever had. However, I have seen this young man play for the past 3 to 4 years, he is not a game changer at all. Once he gets into the playoffs he will be lucky to get past the second round.

Because it’s the extremest example. All inclusive for pro style kids.
Bottom line CJ is not a game changer. Notre Dame needs a quarterback that is a game changer. Or they will never compete for a national championship. Carr is not going to elevate ND to a national championship

There seems to be a a greater need for critiquing Carr than there is for Pyne.....never mind he won't be starting for ND for at least a season and a half. If I were a betting man...I would bet that his upside and further development is > than Pyne's. OTOH...there may be crystal ball types on the board who can visualize and project out into the future better than we can with current events. Count that as an asset, I guess? Oh...and about those lottery numbers......

I agree with you.

I am no expert for sure but I have seen Carr play a lot of football. He is not a game changer. It’s easy to tell who the game changers are.

You’re stating this based on nothing. Absolutely nothing. Like I said, take any great pocket passer in the country and he’s only as good as his team. Great pro style quarterbacks are rarely super great athletes. If you simply want a Denard Robinson, then say it. I personally would rather have a pro style kid that if given time in the pocket and good receivers, could light up a college defense over a running QB that puts up silly numbers on high school teams. If you want a QB that can run all over high school defenses then we already have that kid. He’s just injured and personally isn’t that good imo. CJ is a college and possible NFL QB. Buchner is a high school QB/athlete.

Carr can already make throws that Pyne has never made in his playing career. His highlights are much more relevant than his individual game performances. His OL is pretty lousy as are most of his receivers. Pyne simply lacks the strength to make those throws that CJ can make. Rees continues to ask him to make throws for which he literally lacks the physical abilities to make bc Rees is a stupid a hole that only cares about what his play calls look like to NFL scouts.

Am I a fan of all the chips on Carr? Hell no. But of the ‘24 QB’s, he’s one of the best and he’s a huge get. If Carr was a junior in college, ND would be 5-1, I believe that whole heartedly. Merriweather and Lenzy would each have multiple touchdowns. We need a ‘23 and that failure is on our bozo coaches. It’s a disservice to CJ and Notre Dame not to bring in competition.

How his hs team does ir irrelevant to what he will be in college

Jackson Arnold was pretty clear in a recent interview that what held him back from ND was Rees. He seems to like Freeman. He chose OU bc of Rees. He didn’t say that specifically, but it seemed obvious to me.

you interpret it due to him statin freeman name and calling Rees OC? What else in there led you to believe this, curious?

How about no one thinks your opinion is worth a bucket of spit?

Your so cute!!!

Keep up the great posts

You are a special young man. One day you will be successful.

Until then, keep making these well written posts.

Now, remember, always listen to your mom, stay in school and eat all your vegetables.

Before you know it, you will be in middle school. Then high school and then you will be working the drive thru at the local McDonald’s.

But please, when I order some ice cream, please don’t tell me the ice cream machine is broken.

fanatics always think their 'sh**' does not stink. And you are a fanatic in this area; post after post after post attacking this kid. Hope you are proud of yourself.

One of the most obvious signs of a fanatic is their extreme reaction to those that dare to disagree with them.

As shown by your reactions to anyone that points out your opinion is NOT fact.

You need professional help before you get so worked up when someone laughs at you, you stroke out.

Not that I care if you croak, but one should try and help the mentally ill.
