Didn't watch the game yesterday. In fact haven't watched a full game during "March madness" at all. Did check on the score later in the evening, and did feel pangs of regret the Irish lost. Still, in my view the pro and college game have become a joke.
Wow, look at those great moves! Yes, when traveling doesn't exist anymore; when carrying the ball is a non-call; when shuffling the feet has become a practiced art; when charging is only something I do to my car battery; BB is no longer interesting to me. Now, there are many who want the college shot clock reduced down even more. Great, then college BB can be totally like the pros; give me the ball; clear the floor and watch me thunder dunk. How can people enjoy such rubbish??

Dude! You missed a great game. A gem. As someone who played in High School (and a lot of games in the Rock in the 70's, yes, I once guarded AD who just stepped back and drilled bombs over me) it reminded me of the summer camp drills with Rollie Massimino would create 3 on 3 tournaments that pitted bigs against smalls. It was all about fundamentals, moving without the ball, pick and rolls, pass and pick away, boxing out and passing the rock.

ND did that in a beautifully, unselfish way all season. They were a well coached, and yes, they played compelling defense and even boxed out the sometimes 6 or 7 inch taller KU Players (they are just so damn big! and deep and big!) It was basketball in its purest form. It was a pleasure to watch.

By the way Jerian Grant is one of the best passers I've seen in a long long time. (*I wish he wouldn't have felt the need to do it all on those last two possessions. But I guess that is what you expect in those situations.)

Very proud of this team and I couldn't disagree with the OP more about college b-ball...

"ND simply ran out of time. "

ND needed 8 seconds and maybe a timeout to set something up. Other than that, it was fantastic basketball game, and if you did not watch, you missed out.

As an underdog, you want the last shot -- ND got that -- just did not convert.

Overall, ND outplayed Kentucky for 39 minutes -- just needed that last minute.
